David Lee Injures Finger

Lee, who suffered the dislocation on his first day of practicing with Team USA in Vegas, hopes it’s nothing too serious: “New Warriors forward David Lee dislocated the middle finger on his right hand Tuesday while practicing with the U.S. national team in Las Vegas. Lee had the finger re-set and taped, and did not continue playing. He was to fly to the Bay Area on Tuesday night and will be examined by Dr. Bill Green, who recently performed surgery on the wrist of Warriors first-round pick Ekpe Udoh. Lee planned to return to Las Vegas late today to be with the U.S. team, which is preparing for the world championships in Turkey this summer. His timetable for returning to the court is not known. ‘I looked down and my finger was completely turned to the side,’ Lee said, according to ESPN. ‘Hopefully, it’s something I can splint up and play with.”‘

Hopefully Team USA doesn’t have a big man curse brewing. Lee’s finger plus the Loez brothers pulling out and Amar’e not playing.
