  Don’t get me wrong that is a nice cross (and maybe there is an even better video out there) and it’s probably more “legal” than A.I’s but I still like Iverson’s better. In that video and from what I remember Hardaway’s first step was really quick!

  The UTep 2 Step, my favorite move ever!!!!!!!! Timmy was soooo incredible, not just flashy but crafty. He and Nick Van are prolly two of my personal favorite guards of all time. If you ever happen to see me on a court you better watch out for that tween the legs cross….i be yankin

  ^haha.. i hear you Kamla.. Nick the Quick was my favorite dude when i was in high school.. i loved watching those lakers.. nick with EJ and Kobe filling the lanes.. and shaq trailing.. damn.. that was dope.. Nick may be one of the most underrated PGs.. along with Rod Strickland..

  My favorite era too… early/mid 90s had some great talent, If it wasnt for Jordan, I think they would have a new champion every year..(different team annually) Mitch Richmond doesnt get too much love anymore, but I think at 1 point, he was the best 2 not named Jordan or Miller..

  That was the era of point guards, Timmy , Strickland, Mookie Blaylock (where are you), Gary Payton, Kenny Anderson (that handle), Terrell Brandon, Nick Van Exel, Damon Stoudamire, Penny Hardaway. Also deep in slashers/wingmen: Shawn Kemp, Grant Hill, Scottie Pippen, Latrell Sprewell, etc..The 90′s were something else.

  Good point Martey, but u forgot the best pointguard of the post Magic era- John Stockton (in my opinion) They had some pretty good centers in that time too- Mutumbo,Ewing,Mourning,Olojuwon,D.Robinson,Smits.. And back then the power forwards were tough- D.Coleman,Oakley,L.Johnson,Barkley.. Just a great, great time in the NBA..

  The greatest era of basketball is right NOW. Definitely not the 90s. Although Penny and Rod Strickland are two of my favorite players of all time, the NBA today has much better PGs in D-Will, CP3, Rose, Nash, JKidd, Westbrook, Rondo, Billups, Tony Parker. The wing players are also better: LeBron, Kobe, DWade, Durant, Ginobili, Roy, Melo, . I’ll take this era of players over any other.

  i’ve seen him play. I grew up in the Bay Area and got all the local Warriors games. He’s slower footed and less athletic than Korver is. Korver is even a better shooter. If you think that Chris Mullin could come into today’s NBA and put up the same numbers he got back in the 90s then apparently you’ve never seen Mullin play.

  Erika, The NBA is exciting today, I agree, but a few factors, that in my opinion made the league more exciting then (could be nostalgia though). The game was more physical, A few less teams I believe, so a deeper bench. Also the game was in a transition, it was going from the Isiah Thomas style to the Allen Iverson style and we were witnessing a changing of the guard where most of the stars of the 80s were still going strong (Jordan, Malone, Olajuwon, Stockton, Ewing,etc..) and they were clashing with the new kids (Iverson crossover on Jordan, for example). For some reason the stars of the 90s all fell off before that changing of the guard with the 2000s(think Shawn Kemp, Penny, Sprewell and Grant Hill to a degree) could happen where we could not see them in their “old prime” compete with the brash new crop. Like Melo trying to post up against an older wiser Shawn Kemp in 2004. Also J-Kidd with Mash and Jimmy Jackson comes from that era as well since he’s on the tail end of his career. Same for Kobe (with the afro). This generation is more physically imposing and athletic and they learn from the past so the argument can be made I suppose.

  The NBA was tougher in 1991 than it is now. Because of four reasons. 1 Michael Jordan…2 The NBA had legit big men. 3. There was no zone. You couldn’t go small otherwise you’d get posted hard. 4. The game was much more physical then….if you don’t know this then you don’t know basketball.

  cant beat the nba on nbc intro. everything about the 90s was better imo, with the rivalries, players, etc. man those were the days
