Heat Re-Sign Jamaal Magloire

Magloire is keeping his talents in South Beach, per the Miami Herald: “The Miami Heat have re-signed center Jamaal Magloire. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Magloire played in 36 games for Miami last season and averaged 2.1 points and 3.4 rebounds coming off the bench. He has spent the last two seasons with the Heat, playing 91 games, including 12 as a starter. ‘Re-signing Jamaal is a testament to his work ethic and his desire to win,’ said Heat president Pat Riley. ‘Over the past two seasons in Miami, he has been an asset to this team, in terms of being a role model for our younger players, with his professionalism and his strong locker room presence.’”

This is a good signing for MIA – The corpse of Magloire should be good for a at least a few boards/fouls a game.

As long as he covers his eye while he dunks once this season , this signing will be worth it.

Him and Big Z are former all stars for what its worth. That’s a starting and back up center. Miami is filling its roster slowly but surely…

Last time Magloire’s name meant anything he was on the Hornets.

I like him cuz hes not afraid to muck it up. No one was messn with wade when jamaal and jo were around. Heat will win the title this season, guaranteed

I would just like to state that Jamal will probably lead the league in DNP’s but that’s neither here nor there.

Joel Anthony, Z, Howard, Magloire and Bosh still isn’t the best big man of them!

  • Jukai Posted: Jul.19 at 3:44 pm
So why do they have five centers but no backup shooting guard…?

  • JE Posted: Jul.19 at 3:49 pm
    5 former all-stars thus far.

This offseason reminded me how important role players actually are. Miami actually may make it to the finals this year. I didn’t think they were going to be able to fill out their roster but they are doing an alright job. I still think the Lakers are going to 3peat. I like how they were able to keep d-fish and add steve blake

  • hoodsnake Posted: Jul.19 at 5:53 pm
They need players that can defend the 1 and the 5 position. The offense will take care of itself

  • nastierthanu Posted: Jul.19 at 5:58 pm
Mags is a bum straight up. He was chosen as an all star he was a replacement. He’s a stiff

Miami’s Toronto connection keeps getting deeper

  • Hursty Posted: Jul.19 at 9:32 pm
Jukai – Mike Miller is gonna play 27-32 mins off the bench at both the 2 and 3.

  • Dacre Posted: Jul.19 at 9:34 pm
BIG CAT could start again in this league.

  • dma Posted: Jul.19 at 10:36 pm
Their front court’s combined age is 2472 years old.

  • Dacre Posted: Jul.20 at 1:01 am
