  go head and take it Shannon, you got 2 rings, your entire NBA career has been validated….on another note, the Lakers should sign Gerald Green…he was on their SL squad- not sure if he was brought into camp or not but seriously there is no drop off from Shannon to Gerald Green….Green is just taller, maybe even more athletic, and with a better stroke from outside…..just seems obvious to me

  go to NY young mr. Brown. Even with the SG’s that were already mentioned, they’ll find a way to get Shannon on the court. Walker, and especially Chandler can play small forward too.

  Shannon Brown/ Azubuike/ Bill Walker
  Galinari
  Randolph
  Amar’e Brown would definetly be the best fit at sg under D’Antoni’s system. Brown should take it + if he doesn’t start he’d get plenty of minutes backing up Felton. I can see him averaging 25-30 minutes a game. Get dat Paper Shannon!

  Wilson Chandler can play 2, but he’s more of a 3. Here is the Knicks depth chart. PG – Raymond Felton / Toney Douglas
  SG – Shannon Brown / Kelenna Azubuike*
  SF – Danilo Gallinari / Wilson Chandler
  PF – Amare Stoudemire / Anthony Randolph
  C – Ronny Turiaf / Timofey Mozgov * A nice offensive spark off the bench. And Stoudemire can play the 5 with Randolph at 4. The Knicks can mix up their frontcourt…Basically a 3 man rotation of Turiaf, Randolph and Stoudemire. Don’t sleep on the Knicks this season! Donnie did good this off-season.

  The knickerbokers are gonna surprise a lot of people this upcoming season. They may not make the playoffs but they will be the most exciting/competitive non-playoff team this year if the sign “don’t let shannon dunk” brown.

  If it were anyother team or coach I’d say dumb move, (for both sides) but Shannon would fit right in on that squad. His shot selection needs to improve though.

  Him and Wes Chandler could like on the same team. Wilson Chandler for offense and Shannon for D. Chandler can bring the ball up in a D’Auntoni offense (Joe Johnson). Just spot Shannon up in the corner before the season starts and make him into a 40%+ 3ball shooter and their #1 defender. Simple.

  Brown signs with the Knicks, D’Antoni raves about him, get scores 21 points in 20 minutes in his first game, then gets put on the bench by the tenth game, becomes 11th man by the All-Star break, D’Antoni mysteriously won’t talk about why he’s not being played, will be paid to sit on the end of the bench for no apparent reason until 2014, when he goes and plays in Israel for three years.

  Euh last time i checked: Wes Chandler and Air Walker were listed as SF. That bein said, i would love to see Shannon gettin’ more burn in D’Antoni system. He showed he can produce with limited minutes already.

  As a Lakers fan I’d hate to see Shannon go. He brings an energy to the court which isn’t often matched and has been of great value to the Lakers. That said I think he would fit well in NY under D’Antoni and at 4 per year it’s hard to see him staying in Cali since he has 2 rings. As for the hate about he can only dunk this is a guy who has had to live in the shadow of Kobe Bryant. I think with development (he’s only 24), the confidence of more consistent minutes and a system that may suit him better Shannon would thrive with the Knicks. At best they would be one hell of an entertaining team. Still hope Mitch can work something out to keep him though. We can always dump Sasha if we really need to.
