NBA To Reveal Marquee Games Tuesday

The League is hyping the upcoming season like never before: “The NBA will release its opening week and Christmas Day schedules during an hourlong TV special Tuesday. NBATV officials said Friday their network will host a program at 7 p.m. EDT, at which time it will unveil the slate of games for “Tip-off ’10,” plus the Christmas and Martin Luther King Jr. holidays. The full NBA schedule will be released on Aug. 10. This is the first time the league has released portions of it early.”

Wow… you gotta be kidding me.

  • Overtime

seriously, i thought this was a joke

Wow, this is a little too much, but u can’t help to think that this NBA season will be hyped because of what has happened during the off-season.

Here are the Christmas games: Celtics @ Knicks; Magic @ Thunder; Lakers @ Heat; Utah @ Chicago.

@IAMORANGE4EVER You left out Wolves@ Nets. Darko quadriple double. book it.

@Nick the Quick, just the thought of Wolves and Nets playing on Christmas makes me tingly all over. :) On a serious note, I can’t wait to see how Wesley Johnson performs in his rookie year.

On an even more serious note, I can’t wait to see how Beasley performs in Minny.

Opening night should be Miami @ Cleveland.

We know that Lakers vs Heat is Christmas. We have known this the second after “the decision” was made. I would like to see Dallas vs Denver and OKC vs Portland on Christmas too. Throw Knicks vs Magic/Celtics in there too just for fun.

  • Cool Dude

This should be called “The Schedule.” First 50 minutes is going to be Stern blowing smoke up everyone’s ass, followed by 10 seconds of him saying what the schedule is, then capped off by him watching footage of someone burning NBA merchandise.

I hope Chris Broussard spoils this suprise like he did with LeBron’s decision.

As A Clipper fan, Tuesday’s special means little to me. The only time that the Clippers will appear in a big game is when they’re playing Washington Generals to one of the top teams.

The one and only reason the schedule is going to be released this early is because you know who; LeBron. I’m all giddy like a teenager before prom for this season to begin but until then I’m impatiently waiting for 2k11 to come out ALREADY. Christmas is going to be PHX @ NYK, CHI @ BOS, MIA @ LAL, MIL @ ORL.

  • Nick the Quick

No one’s mentioning TOR @ PHX. Big revenge game for Hedo “Papa John” Turkoglu.

The refs plan to announce the winners shortly afterwards.

  • MikeC.

@Nick the Quick – While he was in Canada, Turk was known as Hedo “Pizza Pizza and a Sprite” Turkoglu. Gotta recognize the sponsors son. If he has duplicated his RaptorsTV commercial with a Papa John’s Phoenix commercial, I apologize for my lack of awareness and applaud your comedy sir.

Following that is Shannon Brown’s hour long special where he decides between the Lakers and the Knicks. Then Allen Iverson has an hour long special where he decides whether to take a pay cut or retire. Much later, Joe Dumars has an hour long special to decide what color underwear he shall wear tomorrow.

Haha Anton that was a good one. Isn`t next season supposed to have a lockoutÉ

I’m getting excited about all the upcoming decisions.

Cleveland VS Miami in Cleveland on Martin Luther King Day. Priceless.
