Police Rule Lorenzen Wright’s Death a Homicide

The Memphis police department says Lorenzen Wright was murdered, a grim picture that the Commercial Appeal paints: “Sherra Robinson Wright opened her front door one day in recent weeks to find three men she had never seen before, each with guns tucked in their waistbands. They looked serious and wanted to know if her ex-husband, former NBA star Lorenzen Wright, 34, happened to be inside the Whisperwood Drive home visiting his six children. No, she assured them, and they drove away. The frightened Collierville mom rushed to tell her divorce attorney, Gail Mathes, about the scary ordeal and her fears for herself, her children and the ex-husband she still loved, Mathes said. A few weeks later, the athlete made an impromptu visit from his Atlanta-area home to Memphis. A day after his flight arrived, he was gunned down. Memphis police released a statement Thursday verifying Wright’s July 19 death was a homicide caused by gunfire, but they haven’t said if they have any suspects or how many bullets struck him. It’s unknown whether the gunmen who were reportedly looking for Wright at his ex-wife’s home had any involvement in his death or whether the incident she described to her attorney was ever reported to police.”

Plus why wouldn’t his ex-wife tell the police or even warn lorenzen himself. Grimey broads now days, can’t trust em.

The ex-hoe got something to do with this 4sho – anybody in their right mind would report 3 armed men looking for someone you loved to the po-po regardless of the situation, unless you were the ex wife of a mexican drug lord or something. Jeez man – this guy caught a raw deal for real – I hope the three guys get caught and rot in jail – they not going to be popular inside that’s for sure – they took down a reasonable dude WTF.

Please tell me Sherra Robinson Wright at the very least contacted Lorenzen Wright, who she allegedly still loved, as soon as possible after her encounter with three thugs each strapped looking for her ex-husband. Don’t tell me she just allowed a few weeks to slide by without alerting Lorenzen about that specific encounter. That just wouldn’t sit right with me. Let’s be real, was it really a coincidence that Lorenzen then shows up a few weeks later in Memphis from his ATL home, carrying tens of thousands of dollars in cash on him, on an alleged impromptu visit? I think not.

Sounds fishy, hopefully she did at least call police or at least Wright. Shouldn’t she be in police protection, giving the description of the men who visited her home with guns. What is America coming too?

I read another piece about it, said there was a quote, “chilling 911 call” made by Lorenzen, cops said you can hear him screaming as they opened fire on him. Really sad man, this is a cold world we live in. Either his ex-wife is really dumb, or she had something to do with it. It screams foul play to me. Guess we’ll find out eventually.

It seems like the investigaters can get a lot of info from his cell phone records, like if she contacted Lorenzen immediately after the appearance of the three guys? If she loved him the way she said she “still loved him”. And why tell that to the divorce lawyer of all people? And why would you open your door to three strange men? Especially if your home alone with your children.
