Sergio Rodriguez Signs With Real Madrid

Sergio, it was an…. interesting four years in the League. As reported by EuroLeague: “One of the most creative point guards in the world is headed home to Spain as Real Madrid confirmed a three-year deal with playmaker Sergio Rodriguez on Friday. [...] Rodriguez is not a Euroleague newcomer, as he averaged 6.4 points and 2.7 assists in 14 games as a teenager with another Madrid team, Adecco Estudiantes, in the 2004-05 season. He has also found success with the Spanish national team, with whom he won the gold medal at the 2006 FIBA World Championships, playing a critical role off the bench in the semifinal against Argentina.”

  • BossTerry Posted: Jul.2 at 6:52 pm
Sometimes flashy p.g… should do well overseas, maybe return to nba in a year or two… Thats the problem with alot of euro guys, they enter nba expecting to be like Gasol or Dirk, and end up as a back-up whom rarely plays.. @DMA- Rudy is likely headed back to Spain after claiming being “homesick” according to slamonline a few months ago, and NW local news..

ah Bigg Regg with the “joke comment” that hasn’t been funny since the start of the internet. Anyway, Sergio also had some nice games for NY, sad to see him go, but good for him.

He picked Europe ball over my Knicks, I think I’m do for a long cry in the shower, $hyt$ not looking real good. smh

  • omphalos Posted: Jul.4 at 3:55 am
It would have been good to see him and Rudy hook-up in a team like the Knicks where they could get more minutes. I’ll miss the Spanish Armada.
