Shaq Wants To Be A Celtic

According to FanHouse, Shaq wants to join the Celtics, but it would likely have to significantly lower his $8 million salary request. The Hawks and Mavericks had interest, but balked at O’Neal’s price tag: “Veteran free agent center Shaquille O’Neal — the future Hall of Famer without a team — has been lobbying the Boston Celtics aggressively, still trying to convince them that his addition would help their quest to win another NBA championship. He still wants to be The Big Leprechaun.”

    If he ended up here and knew his role then fine. I’m sure doc would utilize him to the fullest and yes he’d be of great use when Perk got back b/c Perk gets in foul trouble a lot. 6 extra fouls, a few rebounds a block here and there, passing from the post and presence are all things that Shaq still has to offer and any contending team can use that. I wish the big fellas luck, especially if he becomes a Celtic. lol.

    For anyone who says “past their prime” as if it means that the players are washed up need to quit it. Yes, PP, KG & Ray are past their prime but they are not washed up.

    Shaq just needs a job. In my opinion he just needs to retire already! He’s past his prime. And frankly I DON’T WANT HIM IN BOSTON ON THE CELTICS!!!!! Leave the Celtics alone Shaq! Just stay with the Caviliers or retire. You’ve already made a ton of money, it’s not like you need more. Just leave Boston alone!

    Strictly speaking, there is no “australian basketball league” over here. There’s the NBL and I assure u, no-one playing in it even earns a million, let alone $8m! Shaq, lower you price tag buddy. You will still be able to feed your family. I think some good options to end ur career & possibly pick up a ring (if ur lucky) are: OKC (the Big Thunder?), Dallas, New York or maybe even the Spurs?
