Wright, Golden State Reach Agreement

The only downside for Dorell is that he won’t get to play with James, Bosh and Wade. ESPN reports: “LeBron James may have committed to the Miami Heat, but Dorell Wright is moving on. The swingman who spent his first six seasons in Miami agreed in principle to a three-year deal Saturday with the Golden State Warriors, returning to his native California. Sources told ESPN.com that Wright’s deal is expected to be in excess of $10 million. Golden State is not planning to match an offer sheet New Jersey has committed to extending to Warriors restricted free agent Anthony Morrow. The Warriors will have seven days to match the Nets’ offer once Morrow signs the offer sheet, but have a stronger interest in adding Wright…”

    good move by GSW

LeBron is a “slight” upgrade on Dorell at SF so it’s ok for miami too

Wade really liked Wright but this will be just one of many times a player will not be able to play with the Miami Thrice because of their salaries.

Dorell obviously made the Wright choice.

are the hiami meat just going to play with 3 players on court?

I liked Dorell 2, but he did a smart thing for him. I mean it,ll be hard getting PT if they get miller and i would think they keep de-sean butler and begin throwing him in games to start getting experience. Good luck in G-State

ughh I don’t like wright lol, I really don’t see an awful lot of potential in him but I guess its the warriors nobody cares.

golden state is quietly building a nice team out west

vanillagorilla, you don’t see a potential in wright? crazy. not a bad pickup. wright and williams are gonna be solid wings to compliment curry & monta

@george yeah by trading the Randolph, Azuibuke, and Morrow they sure are building aren’t they. If anything there tearind down what was just beginning to gel…I don’t question Nellie often but I’m just wondering what possibly went so wrong not to keep that young core knitted together

Finally! I’d love seeing Dorell get some ACTUAL playing time elsewhere… Good move by the Warriors.

    over morrow….. please.

black rick, morrow isn’t being traded. i would’ve loved to see bookie stay, but nobody knows how well randolph is gonna turn out. i’ve read reports that his work ethic is terrible, and we all know how young, raw ballers with huge upside but no work ethic turn out. warriors are rolling the dice by trading randolph while his stock his high, and you can’t tell me that adding lee isn’t building. curry/monta/williams?/lee/biedrins is a very nice starting 5, and watson, raja, wright, b.wright, udoh are solid backups.

i would however like the warriors to match the nets’ offer for morrow. he was showing signs of improving his offensive game, adding teardrops/runners/a few drives in addition to his sharpshooting

The Warriors core is Monta, Curry, Lee, Biedrins, and now Reggie Williams who is better than Morrow. They’re getting more size off the bench too. Overall they’ve improved and the roster isn’t complete yet.
