Chris Bosh ‘Played’ With Your Emotions

Whoever is advising Bosh should explore the silence option. Just a thought. From the NY Daily News: “If you think about how many times somebody asks you, ‘How are you,’ that’s how many times I was asked, ‘Where you going?’ said Bosh, who was in Manhattan Wednesday to unveil his Got Milk! advertisement. ‘So it’s like, well, in my case, I’m going to have fun with it. I’m going to play with people’s emotions. I’m going to be high and low.’ The admission – long suspected of the Heat triumvirate (Bosh, LeBron James and Dwyane Wade) – would help explain the varying reports about Bosh’s destination during the long free agency process. Several had him going to Chicago and Cleveland, and former Nets president Rod Thorn said he felt his team was in the running the evening before Bosh and Wade announced their intentions together on ESPN. Turns out, Bosh was sending out mixed messages for kicks – tweeting every step of the way. ‘I wouldn’t call it a game because it’s serious, but, I mean, it’s entertainment at the end of the day. It’s the truth,’ Bosh said. ‘We’re entertaining and everything but at the same time I’m just getting my feelings out there. It’s entertaining to see people react to your real emotions because if it wasn’t fun I wouldn’t do it.’”

Karma is a b*tch and I can’t wait til she takes her fury out on this guy or Bron.

  • http:/screwjams.tumblr.com cramzy

Lebron and Bosh just plain don’t know how to act. Just muzzle it to the season start please!

  • Brian

Has there ever been a point where a good team has had to double team this stiff since he’s been in the L? I’d much rather have Noah.

  • WangChung

Wow. I expect this from high-maintenance girls, but Bosh? This is a new low.

  • vuk

bosh plays like a woman and now clearly feels like one

he needs one of those gender checks like Semenya, he could just be the biggest thing to happen to WNBA since lisa leslie

hes pathetic, man, i cant WAIT for miami to crash and burn and for both these fools to finish their career without a ‘ship, hats off to wade tho, he ended up being the only real dude of the 3

  • pache

    serious new low

  • eugene

Thats pretty Ru Paul of him

  • http://slamonline.com Kap

Even Eboy wants to tell this guy to STFU…

  • dsleepy

co-sign the first comment. it can be entertaining for BOSH but it’s insulting to the knicks/bulls/nets/etc. just proves that chris bosh does not really care about the fans.

  • apeman

    ouch… my feelings(sarcasm!!!!)

I love you Bosh , but this reeks of Douche

  • kundai

damn that is cold as hell

  • T-Money

I’m worried about Bosh. I know that Bron went to Miami to win championships, that was the sole motivation (whether you think that’s fair or not). It seems like Bosh wanted to raise his profile and tag along. Again, maybe that doesn’t change anything, in the end he’s still a 24-11 dude.

  • http://twitter.com/HarryByrdMan44 LA Huey

So glad this has become a team people love to hate.

  • http://theurbangriot.com The Nupe

How does he think that’s o.k.? Maybe he did it just for the camera crew following him around for his movie. It would have been interesting to see what happens behind the scenes durint the ‘recruiting’ process, but not when he’s just playing everybody like a twinkie with no filling.

  • riggs

    well….shaq was right.

  • http://www.lkz.ch Darksaber

This is the same guy who spent minutes explaining his different knee braces to me 3 years ago when i met him. Unassuming, cool, engaging. Not any more: fame is a biznatch, and apparently….so is Bosh.

  • T-Money

riggs: not really, bosh is one of the best bigs in the league. and you can’t be soft when you shoot 10 fts a game and grab 11 boards. i don’t know where the notion that bosh doesn’t like contact comes from, he CREATES contact.

  • The Fresh Prince of Nsam

Hummmm. When does the season start again?

  • Will

Yeah, I think there’s a misconception about his toughness since he’s always been a skinny cat. I’ve only seen him get the business in the post by big guys like Howard but I mean – let’s be honest, who doesn’t. I’ve never really been sold on Bosh though and thought he was due for a Shareef Abdur-Rahim (not a terrible thing, by the way) career until this Miami thing. Now, he’s got a chance at creating a big-time legacy as a winner the way guys like McHale and Worthy did.

  • JTaylor21

@Kap, what karma as bron brought on himself. Let me know?

  • Ronald

Seriously, I out of all the Superfriends, CBosh definitely comes of as the biggest douche bag. And @Will the Shareef comparison is on point. I think they even had similar games imho.

  • cool j

I think that all this talk by Bosh is a little juvenile! I think that he is a good kid, a good player.
I still think it is a positive thing for the Raptors that he left,he was never a franchise type player.
He could not carry the team.If the Raptors are going to be mediocre any way ,you can do it and save $25 mil.
At least he didn’t go on national tv and said he tanked games or given his team plays to the opposition players.
Good luck to Bosh with Miami!

    Bosh: Finals MDP 2011!!!

  • http://slamonline.com tealish

    hah what an idiot!

  • Brian

Kevin McHale is better player right now than Bosh is.

  • http://joeloholic.wordpress.com Joel O’s

Whoa. What the heck. So screwing around with us Torontonians was “entertainment” for him? That whole attention whore thing he did on twitter for most of the summer was for kicks? Wow.

  • http://joeloholic.wordpress.com Joel O’s

This “fame” thing has really gotten to his head.

  • http://joeloholic.wordpress.com Joel O’s

    “Tis a common proof,
That lowliness is young ambition’s ladder,
    Whereto the climber-upward turns his face;
But when he once attains the upmost round,
He then unto the ladder turns his back,
Looks in the clouds, scorning the base degrees
    By which he did ascend.”

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

    Chris….just STFU.

  • http://www.kb24.com The Seed

This is why the NBA wants a mandatory two years at a college, because Bosh needed to stay at Georgia Tech longer than one year to take a communication class. BOOK IT!!!

  • http://thosefishtacosarethetits.blogspot.com Th3_R3al_Chris

I remember when the Big 3 got together in the summer of 2007. There was none of this being said by any of them. They came in from Day 1 and looked at Doc as the guiding light, be it the Duck Boat Tour they took at 6am one summer morning or the Ubuntu or Paul Pierce shaving his head on their overseas trip so he would have the same haircut as Ray and Kevin. Chris Bosh, Lebron James, and Dwyane Wade don’t let a day go by without making predictions, revelations, or sideways comments about where things are going this season.

  • Coney Islander

99% of pro athletes are egomaniacs, it’s what makes them great at what they do. The downside is they become puss filled C*NTS! Meh, it is what it is!

  • barnabusb

Dwight Howard must be chomping at the bit to play Bosh next year.

  • http://theurbangriot.com The Nupe

It seems like the league could sanction him or something if he intentionally mis-led teams. There must be some kind of clause about acting in good faith etc. One of those types of things that is almost impossible to prove until something like this happens.

  • http://www.michaelcho.com M Cho

Being from Toronto, I used to like Bosh. After this summer though, he’s coming of like a douche. I can only expect things to get worse as he enjoys more and more media attention.

  • http://shinefluid@aol.com CHI-TOWN SAID IT JOE

so it was 1 big joke for your entertainment purposes huh?? ok

  • total scrotal implosion

He did it for attn? No fn way!. Maybe tmrw bron says he did the decision for attn. Most of the fools on here have the most extreme overreactions to everything.

  • http://fsdkjlf.com Jukai

Nupe: I’m sure they could, but he made his statement so ambiguously that I’m sure he’d say something like “no no they took it out of context!!”

  • http://twitter.com/HarryByrdMan44 LA Huey

@Nupe, Clay Bennett had a good faith clause when he bought my Sonics. You saw how the league enforced that obligation…

  • http://google J-RO

Just Bosh gaining more hate in order for the Heat to get more television viewers and followers.

  • SLaidlaw

I can’t wait to go to the February 16th game at the ACC with my “Squash Chris Bosh” and “CB4 You’re a Whore” signs. Should be a blast bringing the Boo!

  • http://www.sonicbids.com doyouwantmore

If you think Chris Bosh is soft, overrated, lacks heart, doesn’t compete, and isn’t a top three PF, then you are not watching basketball for the right reasons and you should probably switch to celebrity gossip sites or major league baseball or something.

  • Rusty

your a ball player, STFU and play ball.

  • J Anikwe

Dwade seems to be the only possitive in miami so far

  • rich

to be honest who in toronto was screwed with? unless u have a learning disablity u knew he was gone. good player, but wejust couldnt get another star despite many chances( iguodala b-roy the list goes on)

  • http://www.slamonline.com/ The Promise

He thinks he’s all that. He said he wanted to go to a team where he could be the first option, then goes to team that will make him the third option. Why? Because he found out nobody wanted to pay him to be their franchise player because he’s not good enough to be one, he already proved that in Toronto. He needs to shut his mouth and play.

  • http://www.slamonline melvin ely

can’t wait for the season to start, if only so idiots like this guy can shut the hell up already

  • TrailBlazing&SportingLisbon

the first sentence of this piece is MAGICAL…”whoever is advising Bosh should explore the silence option” hahaha fu(kin genious!!! now we all know hes a douchebag BUT DONT COME HERE BULLS FANS SAYIN YOU RATHER HAVE NOAH AND CALLING HIM A STIFF, I LOVE JOAKIM´S HUSTLE BUT HE CANT EVEN MAKE A FREEBIE STRAIGHT, WHILE BOSH IS ONE OF THE VERY BEST PF IN THE L, EVEN BEINGH SOFT AS HE MOST DEFENETLY IS!

  • http://Slamonline.com JKG

Damn Im just takin it in the miami heat are gonna get booed in like 6-7 different cities hahhaa Btw… will bosh get it worse than VC when he comes back to T.O. just wonderin

  • MikeC.

Bosh top 3 PF? I’m not sure about that. I’d rate Gasol, Dirk and the Duncan robot ahead of Bosh (and if Amare’s post-Jan D is the real deal, Amare is ahead of Bosh too). I’d put Bosh in the same class as David Lee, Z-Bo and Boozer. Actually, I’d rate Lee higher because he keeps it classy.

  • TrailBlazing&SportingLisbon

yeah MikeC. hes prolly the forth best PF, Lee,Z-Bo, Bozzer all rebound and score very well, like RuPaul, but they awful defenders while Bosh is just bad.

  • http://www.stonesthrow.com Michael NZ

I hate LeBron so much more because of this.

  • Lai Wai

I’m sure the new milk sponsors are very proud.

  • Kashdef

Man CB should take Big Worm’s advice, playin with team’s money is like playin with their emotions ha first thing I thought of when I read the title.

  • Robb

Bosh is a 2nd tier superstar. Who cares?

  • http://joeloholic.wordpress.com Joel O’s

    Scola > Bosh.

  • Scottie Pimpin

boozer’s gonna pimp slap you !

  • Ali

When will these player in MIA STFU… I mean it’s getting a little ridiculous now. Carlos Arroyo, Bron, Chris, Wade…Do these guys have media advisors or people looking out for thier best interests? Just zip it and when the season starts let your play do the talking.

  • rikson

    Slam: the weekly soap….

  • cool j

Bosh is NOT the third best power forward like mentionned above ,he is a good one ,but he is SOFT!
He gets punked by KG or Rasheed Wallace almost every time they face up.
I think there is a difference,it is through that he plays hard and gives his all,but toughness? no he gets physically intimidated.I am not saying that he should fight every week,2 incidents especially stick to my mind TJ Ford against the hawks and Bosh smacked by Paul Pierce-no reeaction,no back-bone

  • Migs

If this is the “brand” Bosh is trying to build, no one outside of Miami is gonna want in. In 7 years, Bosh has changed from a promising, humble, low-key, somewhat nerdy bigman to an egotistical, attention-mongering, immature (and still nerdy) player. They need to get this guy a PR coach cuz he’s constantly contradicting himself and making foolish statements. WTF is this supposed to mean anyway: “I wouldn’t call it a game because it’s serious, but, I mean, it’s entertainment at the end of the day. It’s the truth,”

  • MikeC.

These guys all need to hire Ari Gold to represent them.
