FIBA Suspends Nenad Krstic 3 Games

Three games seems a tad light for throwing a chair at people, no? The AP reports: “Nenad Krstic of the Oklahoma City Thunder has been suspended for Serbia’s next three games for throwing a chair during last week’s brawl with Greece. Basketball’s governing body said Thursday that three other players will miss two games. FIBA also fined both national federations. Serbia’s Milos Teodosic is banned two games. His fight with Greece’s Antonis Fotsis started the melee.”

If this was Ron Ron in the NBA we’re talking about an 82 game suspension

It’s a light suspension in NBA standards (82 game season) but not when it comes to the Worlds where 3 early loses could mean going home empty handed.

double standarts in NBA’s head office, sh.t

I meant Fiba’s head office, damn

I think the difference was that Krstic didn’t go into the stands to attack a fan, causing a brawl and chaos. That said, I think the NBA came down too hard, in an attempt to deter future melees. And as for NoNads Krstic and his cowardice, he got off light. 3 games for assault. What a joke.

That’s the FIBA not having the balls to tackle down on two of the most important national teams in international basketball.
