Jazz, Wolves, Cavs, Clips get new unis

Used to be that NBA teams could reveal new uniforms with fanfare and a big splash. These days, thanks to the internets, the uniforms just as easily leak out there. Such as yesterday, when several teams had their new looks displayed:

• Utah is ditching the baby blue mountains and going back to the old Jazz logo, with a color scheme more reminiscent of the team’s roots in N’awlins.

• Cleveland will unveil their new jerseys tonight, but here’s a sneak peak via a video game, with the word Cleveland now in block lettering. (Alternate jerseys should be in Comic Sans, right? Sorry, too easy.)

• The L-Wolves have ditched green altogether and gone to a “more mature” look.

• The Clippers have made some minor tweaks, including shrinking the team logos and changing the number fonts.

    i liked those baby blue jazz unis but the new (old) ones are pretty cool too. still think the best jerseys my twolves ever had were the black ones. should make another alterante away for the new ones

    Clipper ones look a lil bit better now, and I’m glad to see Blake Griffin in uniform. Can’t wait for his debut season, he’s going to be a BEAST!

    The Jazz unis look nice. I’ve always liked the Clippers’ jerseys. The more basic they are, the less often they need to be messed with. Tweaks are nice from time to time, but wholesale change isn’t necessary unless the uniforms look terrible.

    I hope this guy above me isn’t serious? And didn’t the T-Wolves just redo their unis a couple of years ago? Maybe they hope to distract you from all the losses on the court

    NBA should make it mandatory that jersey and logo changes stay in effect for at least 5 years or fans get trade-in credit for new gear.

    Yeah I thought the Jazz and the Wolves updated theirs like two years back. Cavs changed theirs the first year LeBron arrived. Can’t teams just settle on a uni and let it grow some tradition instead of changing it up in the name of making more sales?

    I hate the Jazz jersey now, the old blue one was sick, Minnesotas never had nice jerseys other then that black one when they had KG, Clippers jerseys better, Cavs jerseys w.e. But nowadays its like you cant even wear some jerseys outside their just that ugly, back in the early 00′s everyone wore jerseys but they all looked good.

    i dont like blank space over the “ZZ” in Jazz and the wolves jerseys look tight. the LAC jerseys have to much space on them.

    Eboy@ Even when you try to be funny you have to curse… Love the new wolves look, clips too, jazz tried a little bit too much throwback. Can anyone recall a bigger change during summer time of the NBA, Free agents, rookies, opdated jerseys. its gonna be like watching a new leaque…

    clevelands unis were on store.nba.com about 12 hours before they released it. nba just too hungry for money to let teams wait to release jerseys!
    the cavs new kits are horrible i hate all the genericness in the nba uniforms nowadays. new jazz ones are a breath of fresh air though

    I like the Jazz new ones, going back to Pistol Pete. I agree with whoever said the Black T-Wolves unis were cool, it’s just that Kevin Garnett kind of took that with him. And Clips look pretty good. I love how LeBron had the unis changed for his entry, and they change them right when he leaves.

    i like th jazz old light blue. unfortunatly i like the new colours more. the wolves i really like the new look and the cavaliers should go back to the black jerseys like in 2002 those were nice IMO.

    I really like the Clippers new uni’s. The Jazz & Cavs are nice but i don’t like the old school neck lines. And the T-Wolves is an upgrade but still eh. I wonder when the Warriors & Knicks will unveil their new duds for 2010/2011

    The Raps need a change, they changed the logo to a claw. I think we should wear our black jerseys when we’re at home, and the red ones on the road. Also Jazz looks nice, Cavs looks decent, Clippers is decent and the Wolves is ugly

    Clipper’s Uni’s are siiick, and the T-Wolves uni’s that they wore last year were ugly as hell, glad they at least got rid of the green, looks alot better now

    I gotta admit, I liked the “old” Jazz jerseys with the baby blue, although you can’t front on bringing back the actually JAZZ (musical notes).
    Sticking to the subject of Utah, I can’t wait to watch perhaps the best frontcourt in the NBA (Millsap and Al Jefferson) go to work with Deron Williams.

    @ Squirrel7 lol yeah, but you know what i mean the “main” unis, home away and alternate. especially the home one’s. and in lebron’s last year is also the best line of retro jeseys we had.. i personally don’t like the orange retro one’s and the pinstripes yellow-red-white.

    @ LA Huey: thanks for the heads up, i hadnt even seen it yet, i pre-ordered a white Curry one from the Warriors site, i am interested to see how it looks on curry and some of the other guys (I wish i could see BD, J-Rich, and Captain Jack in it, but oh well). I predict that the Kings, Bobcats, Wizards, and Nuggets will be next to either change or alter their unis, with the Nets to follow.
