K-Mart, Birdman Could Miss ‘Significant Time’
Not only may Kenyon Martin (knee surgery) and Chris Andersen (knee and finger) miss an early chunk of the season, they may have to compete for playing time with Al Harrington when they return. Mid-season trade, anyone? From the Denver Post: “Adding to the many issues facing the team is that Karl, who expects to be back on the bench this fall after battling cancer since last spring, will start the season without two major contributors. A team source said Wednesday that Nuggets forwards Kenyon Martin and Chris Andersen could miss “significant time” to start the season as they recover from knee surgeries.”
