Polladaday: Which East team is ready for the Playoffs?

As is the case every year, 7 teams in each conference miss the playoffs. After this hectic off-season and new wave of young draftees, who has what it takes to get into the playoffs this year in the EAST?

Which EAST team will make the playoffs?

    The addition of Amare should set New York up for a 7th or 8th Seed. They probably won’t have to win half their games to get there though

    Is Amare really that much better than David Lee? I think not. I do however, believe that with the other pieces, the Knicks can make a run. Injury prone Amare for $100 milli that had Nash giving him the ball or a durable David Lee for $80 milli who has never had a point guard but still beasted? … Lee

    What about Philly with Evan Turner? Don’t get me wrong: they’ll still suck, but it’s the freakin’ East god damnit!

    I think if Deroit stays healthy they have chance…they’re whole roster battled injury all year last year. They have some talent, just not in the right places.

    Why is Toronto not last? does a starting line up of Calderon, Barbosa, Johnson, Davis, and Bargnani make the playoffs? If that team gets more than 20 wins I’d be amazed.

    I’d say Knicks. Felton could thrive in the D’Antoni system. So if he puts up 15 and 11 playing for Mike, do we give him MVP?

    amare can put up 40. lee isn’t gonna get you that type of offensive game but is probably a better rebounder and defender. traits that will be lost in golden state.

    Washington’s got a chance b/c gilbert’s back and they got john wall. If they can mesh together that will be soooooo scary. Buut that only happens if andray blatche keeps the same production from last year and javale magee improves which he has.
