Shaq: Rasheed Wallace May Return

O’Neal tells CSNNE that Wallace is contemplating a return to the C’s, thereby creating even less minutes for everyone on the Boston frontline: “Boston Celtic fans might have to put those retirement party balloons for Rasheed Wallace on hold. The newest Celtic, Shaquille O’Neal, said Wallace may in fact return to the C’s this season. Wallace told the Celtics during the NBA Finals in June that, despite having two years and nearly $13 million left on his contract, he was planning to retire. The Celtics have spent the summer looking for potential trades involving Wallace, which would allow them to bolster their roster in his absence and allow Wallace to walk away with whatever buyout amount he could work out with the team that acquired him via trade. However, the C’s never came across a deal that they liked. But those plans to move ‘Sheed may be scrapped altogether. “I know Rasheed is thinking about coming back,’ said O’Neal. ‘Rasheed, go on and come back for one or two more years.’”

Thanks for letting us know shaq.

If Sheed does return, the Celtics will have too many big men. It’s a good problem to have for a team that usually plays small, but I have no idea how a rotation will work with Sheed, Shaq, JO, and Perk. Even if Sheed plays the 4 off the bench for KG, it’s still crowded.

somebody will get hurt, guaranteed. KG, SHEED,Shaq, JO? You really think they’ll have all those guys for the whole season? It could work out fine and once playoff time rolls around egos would probably be in check for a chance at a ring…right?

Did Shaq find this out by chatting Rasheed up on twitter as #BigTanya??

The Celts would totally own the 2003 NBA season.

If this happens, JO is getting traded around the deadline. Probably to a decent team for a decent piece, though.
