Dwight Howard Suing for $500 Million

Howard has filed legal docs seeking an extremely large chunk of change from a woman that TMZ delightfully refers to as his “baby mama”: “Dwight Howard  claims he’s sick of his baby mama bashing him to the media — a violation of their court settlement  — and now dude wants at least $500,500,000 to make things right.   TMZ has obtained legal docs filed by the Orlando Magic star in Orange County, Florida, in which he claims his baby mama Royce Reed — who stars on VH1′s ‘Basketball Wives’ — leaked dirt about him to the media at least 11 times … thus violating a 2009 gag order.  In the docs, Howard explains that if the leaked stories reached 1,000,000 people — a safe estimate given that the stories were posted all over the Internet — the damages should add up to $500,500,000 based on the terms of their previous agreement.”

    I hope he wins. She has clearly violated their agreement and should have to pay. Obviously she doesn’t have $500M or anything close, but sends a powerful message to her and she’ll end-up in debt to him (versus him having to just pay her), plus it set’s a powerful precedent for other babys daddys that get bashed by their baby mommas. The amount isn’t the issue, the principle is.

    As crazy as this number sounds, it might be inline with his earning potential, what he could generate over his career (endorsements and all). With such negative press being thrown his way it can definately hurt his image in the eyes of potential companies who want to make him their pitch man.

    Actually, his babymama is a former dancer for the Orlando Magic. if I remember correctly, I don’t think he even knew the kid was his but when he found out, he did what he was supposed to do which was be a father to his son. Clearly, she was in it for the money. Maybe she wanted to get married to D12, IDK. In any case, she’s been on this crusade against him for a while now. Maybe she isn’t happy with her child support settlement? But I hope he wins, sending a message to all chickenheads out there…
