Dwight Howard’s Album, Coming to a Store Near You

According to Howard, this album ranks up there with just about anything he’s ever accomplished in his life. Yikes. NBA.com has the story: “He’s a man of many talents, on and off the court. Now you can add recording artist his bag of tricks with the Oct. 26 launch of his debut CD, ‘Shoot For The Stars,’ from Razor & Tie/KIDZ BOP. This is serious business, mostly, with the All-Star big man delivering arena anthems and classic hits, plus the original title track, which encourages his young fans to pursue their dreams. He’ll have a group of talented young kids singing backup vocals on each song. On top of that, a portion of the proceeds will go to benefit the BETA Center (www.betacenter.org), the Orlando based organization whose mission it is to provide children and parents with the knowledge and support needed for strong and healthy families … ‘This record is a dream come true for me in so many ways,’ he said in a released statement. ‘Recording this album for me ranks with being the first pick in the NBA draft, my first NBA All-Star game and winning a gold medal at the Olympics.  Razor & Tie and KIDZ BOP have been incredible and I hope everyone enjoys the album as much as I did recording it.’”

Actually, Chris Webber’s (1999-ish) rap/r&b album wasen’t half bad.. He had a song with Redman, and a song with Kurupt.. I used to bump it (those 2 songs at least).

    Does Shaq sing?
    Oh.

  • MikeC.

C’mon guys. There’s been too much serious hating going on this summer. Can’t we find time to hate on something fun like this? The thing with Dwight, is it seems that he has so much fun just goofing around that if people trash his album, he’ll just say something like “Well, I didn’t make it for you”, flash his bigass smile and bounce. The dude is like a fully grown man-boy with a learning disability. Can’t nothin’ bring him down.

  • flipnoyce

Whats next he’s gonna be an actor, Dwight please all those acts are over. Shaq did them when u were just a toddler.

  • Jay Bo

**cough cough** Shaq wannabe **cough cough**

  • Yesse

How bad is Dwight trying to be Shaq? First of all Nba players shouldn’t even make albums. I don’t think Dwight is gonna sell as many albums as Shaq did.

  • tavoris

Yesse-most popular artists today can’t sell as many albums as Shaq did.

  • RobbieJay

His new single is “I Throw Bricks In Da Paint”

  • http://www.hoopsvibe.com/features/overdribbling chiqo

i wanna know how you go from trying to bone mary carey to doing a cd with kidz bop.

  • PapabearATL

It’s for the kids! Nuff said, Dang! Dwight is like a giant cartoon character when it comes to the lil’ ones, so this makes sense to me. He ain’t trying to go hard, or keep it gangsta. He’ll prolly sell more albums than the current wacka roster of rappers out these days. I’m sure it will be very ‘Will Smithish’, remember parents just don’t understand.
