Kobe Itching To Get Back On Court

According to Luke Walton, Kobe’s about ready to get back to basketball. Via Lakers.com: “‘I’ve seen Kobe at the gym the last couple weeks rehabbing his knee. He’s itching to get back on the court. He shows up every morning at 7 a.m. at the team’s facility and is kind of wrapping up around the time I get there at around 9 a.m. Kobe looks great – he says his knee feels great. He’s just about to start doing basketball workouts again and can’t wait for it.’”

    Kobe is really 6’2 and can lead the league in rebounds, blocks, and steals but he doesn’t want to.

    Kobe is the best in the league. LeBron knows it. D-Wade knows it. Kobe would stop LeBron and Wade before they could stop him. MJ is the greatest of all time. Had no weaknesses. Just like Kobe has no weaknesses. LeBron still can’t shoot the three with consistency. Neither can Wade yet. Kobe makes shots routinely that neither one of them would dream of taking.

    If LeBron was the King, he would bring players to him, not go to play behind D-Wade. Fact. What King do you know who leaves his Kingdom? J-Taylor, get off the LeBron/Heat bandwagon. It comes out now, you just don’t like Kobe as a person. That stuff in Colorado has been long over and done with. When it comes to basketball, Kobe is still the Man. Anyone with eyes could have seen that Kobe was and is the best player on the Lakers. People keep referencing his 6-24 game in Game 7….he had 15 rebounds. He found a way to still be productive when his shot was off. LeBron was at home watching it on tv just like the rest of us. And just like he will be doing next June.

    drosefan when has Kobe ever shutdown anybody let alone DWade or Bron. It’s funny that kobe fanatics never state facts or choose to ignore them when try to GAS up his greatness. Didn’t Agent Zero dropped 60 FREAKING points on him a couple years back, DAMN!!! I’ve never seeing a allegedly “GREAT” defender get LIGHT UP so bad as kobe was that night, it goes to show that his being so OVERRATED as an defender for such a long that it’s a joke his being named to the same amount of first team defense as the GREATEST perimeter defender of all-time, SPippen. Also Bron give him and the worm wannabe artes 37/11 last year and 41, gamewinner few years back, so who did he shut down. Same with DWade who gets by him with ease and shoots over him with even greater ease. Kobetards have to start stating FACTS and REALITY instead of living in LA LA land.

    @ Whisp : I don’t get people who hates lebron so much it clouds their judgement..don’t get me wrong, I’m no LBJ fan, as a matter of fact, I find him somewhat of a d**ck because of the whole “the decision” thing played out..but to say that he has no spark or whateve is just plain dumb….anyone who knows how to dribble a basketball knows that LBJ is a freak! I’ve always believed that people commenting on this site knew what they were talking about…dude’s like Whisp here is making me hard to believe

    When has LeBron or Wade shut down Kobe? LeBron is overrated as a defender. All he does is the blocks from behind…doesn’t make him a good defender. One game Arenas scores 60…did you watch it? Was Kobe even guarding him? You aren’t a knowledgeable basketball person so I understand your ignorance. You’re a blind LeBron James fan just as most of his fans are. LeBron’s not nearly as skilled as Kobe. He’s just strong and athletic.

    Didn’t Bron shut down kobe in the 4th quarter of the game in CLE last year huh, forgot about that one did you. Also if all he does is block shots from behind why did PP have the worst playoff series of his career this year against the cavs when bron was guarding him, riddle me that. Of course the he’s “just strong and athletic” argument that you guys also said about Shaq when he was DOMINATING and carry Kobe’s a** to 3 chips. You clowns are IDIOTS if you think that being strong and jumping high is all you need to become GREAT then where are the JWhites, JDorseys, and all those great athletes that never made or struggled to stay in the NBA. Also wouldn’t JSmith be a GREAT player based on the fact that he’s just as athletic as Bron? I guess that court vision, rebounding, defense, driving ability, finishing around the rim with either hand and shooting ability doesn’t equal to having skills, right. You guys are gonna have to making a better argument than he’s just strong and athletic.

    JTaylor, you have proven yourself to not be knowledgeable regarding basketball matters at all. During those Shaq and Kobe years, against the Pacers, Shaq fouled out of a game in Indiana and Kobe carried his team to a win. It’s not like Kobe was just a role player on those teams. Shaq wouldn’t have won without Kobe. What solid argument do LeBron lovers like yourself have? You mentioned shooting ability, Kobe’s shooting ability is head and shoulders ahead of LeBron. LeBron scores most of his points in the paint which is why his field goal percentage is where it is. Kobe’s midrange and 3 point shot is completely on another level.

    so much for reading the comments to see everyone’s opinion of THE ARTICLE. jordan vs kobe vs lebron vs wade. Jordan wins, then kobe, then opinion. Kobe has rings, 2 rings as the leader which is more than lebron and wade. winning is more important than stats.

    Winning rings as the leader of the team is what counts. thats why kobe only has 2 in my eyes which is why even if he gets 7 he still won’t be considered better than jordan.

    yo guys cool down for a sec… how can you say kobe is a better all-around player? he is damn not as good a passer, or rebounder, or shotblocker, or athlete. the only to aspects where you can discuss wether Kobe is equal or better than lebron is shooting and man-to-man defence. shooting is a no-brainer, as kobe is great in that aspect, and man-to-man defence is up for discussion. and i know that “they’re are not comparable in rebounds and blocks cus they play different positions! *cry*” but then “the black mamba” should put up way more assist than bron since he plays guard and lebron is a forward… so what i’m really trying to say is, the torch has been passed on, lebron is the best in the game right now

    @ givard. Kobe can’t put up more assist he plays in the Triangle offense. Name me one person who averaged 8-9 assist in the triangle offense. Plus Mike Brown was all over Lbj’s d*ck and let him do whatever the hell he wanted. @ JTaylor21, you need to get off Lebron and and think about all the sh*t you put on these comment pages. Lebron’s can’t shoot because his shot mechanics are terrible. He can dribble very well for a person his size. But the other stats are b/c he can jump higher run faster and muscle everybody. He doesn’t have the clutch gene. Kobe is one of the best overall shooters in the league. And Lebron didn’t lead the league in Mid-range shooting. If you look @ the article top 25 midrange shooters, d rose did.

    Lebron’s had a new jumper every year. For the past seven years. Players that are/were great have playing styles that are grounded in fundamentals. If the media and god-nike didn’t exist, would there be so many mind-less Lebron followers? Seeing what’s going on these days makes me second-guess my love for MJ as a child.
