Warriors Showing Interest in Louis Amundson?

Golden State is believed to be one of the teams in the running for Amundson’s services (though New Orleans may be the front-runner), reports CSN: “According to a source, the Warriors still believe they’ve got a shot at signing free agent center Louis Amundson, who was an effective energy player off the bench last season for the Suns. The source said he thinks the Warriors and New Orleans Hornets, among maybe another team or two, are in the mix for Amundson, and the hope is a decision will be made this week. The Warriors have $2.4 million remaining of their mid-level exception, so they could start Amundson’s salary at that number or $2.1 million – the bi-annual exception.”

better get that triple double machine…

He’s not a center… He and David Lee as the 4/5 men would be the only starting white frontcourt in the NBA.. I think. I’m also thinking that Brook Lopez has African heritage.
Yao Ming isnt white, so he and Scola dont count haha. But they are the only dual International frontcourt outside of any USA plus 1 combo.

    Almonds, son.

Lou’s style would fit nicely in GS, but he’s the kind of guy that gets totally lost on a losing team. His hustle points max out on a playoff team. I bet Sloan would love him. Does Utah have any cap space?

isnt beidrus hurt maybe this isnt a bad idea

Utah traded for Jefferson, eliminating Paul Millsap’s starting bid, and cap space. Also, small frontcourt guys don’t help with size issues, GS.

never seen udoh play, but would having him and amundson be redundant?

  • http://www.hoopsvibe.com/features/overdribbling chiqo

udoh can score and block shots and brings length. not so much a hustler/rebounder like amundson. but at least we know what amundson can do on the pro level. udoh is injured and unproven.

Im sure he works hard, and can help this team somehow, but the only thing I remember about Louis is being punched in the face by Z-Bo..

He did get his own back on Shaquille O’Neal when they were both at PHX. The big Cactus would hide Lou’s bike around the area when they were in for training and one day, Shaq got back to his 4×4 and found the entire car filled with foam bean-bag filling. beautiful get.
