Warriors Sign Louis Amundson

The Warriors have won the Amundson Sweepstakes, sayeth ESPN: “Mark Bartelstein, agent for Louis Amundson, tells ESPN.com that Amundson has agreed to a contract with the Golden State Warriors. Amundson gets two-year deal with Golden State worth nearly $5 million, choosing Warriors over New Orleans.”

Meh. Biedrins, David Lee, and Udoh is all they really need. And then they have Brandon Wright, but he’s injured…

Nice pick up. Another hustle guy who doesn’t need the ball since Ellis will be hogging it most of the time.

Sucks for New Orleans, they need a hustling big.

Nice grab. Should be just fine getting 10-15 minutes a game off the bench.

damn that’s all he got? after watching fools like drew gooden get crazy contracts, lou only got 2.5 a year? and yes, at this stage of their careers, i’d rather have almonds-son on my squad.

Lou’s contributions will be lost in the madness in GS. If the Warriors were a winning team, his hustle points would translate into actual points. Now his hustle points will translate into very little. Guys like Lou need to be signed by playoff teams. Stupid playoff teams.

@dma – I’d love to see Lou on the Knicks. Especially at that price. He fits in D’Antoni’s style as a hustling bench guy. He’d be a nice piece to back up Amare. Now he wanders in the wilderness of unknowing unknowingness.

I bet you he wishes he was still in PHX, what with Amare gone he could have been getting himself a very tidy 8.5 ppg & 5.5 rpg stat line….
