Andrew Bogut Cleared to Play in Exhibition Games

Bogut is recovering nicely from last season’s horrific elbow injury, and the Bucks aren’t going to hold him back during exhibition play. The Journal Sentinel reports: “No limitations will be placed on center Andrew Bogut when the Milwaukee Bucks open their exhibition schedule next week. That’s the word from coach Scott Skiles, who is pleased with Bogut’s progress in his comeback from surgery on his right hand and right elbow. Those injuries were sustained in a gruesome fall to the Bradley Center floor in an April 3 game against Phoenix. ‘Obviously in the first two or three exhibition games, we’re not going to overplay anybody,’ Skiles said. Bogut has taken part in two of the three contact practices during the first three days of training camp, including Thursday’s session. ‘I’m just not overdoing my elbow at the moment,’ Bogut said. ‘Even having three sessions for me in two days was huge. It’s a big step for me to go out here and take knocks and hits and get through it, so I felt pretty good today.’ Skiles said it was clear how much the Bucks missed Bogut in the playoffs last season in a seven-game opening round loss to the Atlanta Hawks.”
