Avery Bradley’s Ankle Still Hurting

Avery Bradley still hasn’t fully recovered from June ankle surgery. So says CSNNE: “The surgically repaired left ankle injury that kept him out of training camp hasn’t not healed as well as the Celtics would have liked. In fact, the C’s are now considering shutting him down until they can figure out why his ankle injury is taking so long to heal. The Celtics’ first round pick has played in three preseason games, including Friday night’s win at Toronto. He played less than two minutes, but it was more than enough time for Celtics coach Doc Rivers to see that something wasn’t right. ‘We put him in, and within two minutes, you could see it,’ Rivers said. ‘That obviously hasn’t gone the way we would like. We probably have to try something else, because clearly what we’re doing is not working.’ While Rivers said Bradley is going to be out indefinitely, Bradley told CSNNE.com he is hoping to return to action as early as Wednesday’s preseason finale against New Jersey. Bradley said he twisted the ankle on Friday against Toronto.”
