Bobcats Waive Javaris Crittenton

Charlotte need help at the PG position, so this does not speak strongly about Crittenton’s game at this point. “Charlotte Bobcats General Manager Rod Higgins announced today that the team has waived guard Javaris Crittenton. In four preseason appearances, he averaged 3.3 points, 1.8 assists, 1.5 rebounds and 1.3 steals in 13:27 minutes. Crittenton has played in 113 career NBA games for the Lakers, Grizzlies and Wizards, averaging 5.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 1.8 assists in 16.4 minutes. The two-year veteran was initially selected by the Lakers with the 19th overall pick in the 2007 NBA Draft.”

You must perform really bad if the team who’s dying for a backup position isn’t seeing something in you.

Weird how his career has gone considering he was one and done at G-Tech and showed a lot of promise there.

There was a point in highschool when dude was the #1 pg in the nation (ahead of Ty Lawson). So everyone for the most part thought he would at least be a servicable NBA player

He wasnt what we needed. We need a playmaker, and Javaris is a shoot first pass later type of guy. He is talented but is just not what we need. Him getting cut reflects that more than it shows him being a scrub.
