Clippers: Blake Griffin’s Ankle Injury Not Serious

Vinny Del Negro tells the LA Times that there’s nothing to worry about when it comes to the Clippers’ prized forward: “To be honest with you, I was kind of thinking about giving him the night off anyway,’ said Clippers Coach Vinny Del Negro, who said he thought it was Griffin’s left ankle. ‘It made my decision much easier. He kind of turned his ankle a little bit yesterday in the game. He’s fine. He did it at the beginning of the game and he played the whole game. He’s actually a lot better right now. If it was regular season, he’d play. Just want to be smart and use the time to fix it. I expect him to play Tuesday, unless something comes up in the next 48 hours I don’t know about. I don’t see where there would be a problem.’”

Collective sigh of relief from Clipperdom and NBA fans in general. Blake Griffin’s play is going to be an intriguing storyline for basketball lovers.

ROY race is going to be tough. But if the Clips sniff the playoffs (I still don’t think they will but I hope I am wrong), then it is Blake’s award to lose. Everyone will see the highlight dunks, but he is already easily one of the best rebounders in the league with his work ethic and athleticism.

His teammate were right when they compared him to Bron/Malone. Dude is probably the 2nd best athlete in the NBA and is just as big as Malone was. I can’t wait to watch the Clips put a lot of fear in teams this season.

He’s impressive but needs to be a little bit more involved in getting his offense if he wants that ROY from Wall.

if some of you ever wondered how Lebron will look at 6’10, here he is…i didn’t know nothing about Griffin since the start of the preseason…his athleticism and dunks are jaw dropping…just take a look

@Jukai you are not paying attention but it’s okay I know most people don’t keep an eye on the Clippers. Go ahead and admit you haven’t been watching Clipper preseason games, I know you’re not.
