Dwyane Wade Leaves Game With Leg Injury

by Tzvi Twersky | @TTwersky

Dwyane Wade’s partnership with LeBron James and Chris Bosh got off to a less than thrilling start.

Three minutes into tonight’s game against Detroit, the preseason opener for both teams, Dwyane Wade suffered a strained right hamstring.

He did not return to the game, though the severity of the injury has yet to be determined.

In his absence, the Heat went on to win, 105-89.

Chris Bosh led all scorers with 20 points. LeBron James chipped in 18 of his own in 27 minutes.

Miami’s next game is not until Friday night, when they meet up with Kevin Durant and the Oklahoma City Thunder.

T-Money is right about Mr. Potato Head refusal to speed up the tempo when the cavs had bron even Barkley had been saying that for the past 4 years but it seemed like brown had his ears plugged with spuds.

Shocked Z didn’t play, but if Pittman plays as well as he did, oh well!

I think Mike Brown wasn’t convinced the other players on that squad could play solid defense and run. don’t know if this was true, but most great defensive teams do not run that often. At least not in this day and age, and Brown was of the San Antonio school of basketball.

You guys seen the annual GM survey? It has KD as player to start a franchise with and only 68% of GM think LBJ is best small forward in the NBA while Kobe is best SG at 86%. Even LBJ lost popularity with the GMs

  • T-Money

Popularity is the operative word here. If you would have done the same survey on July 1, the results would have been different. It doesn’t make sense to acknowledge that Bron is the best SF but you’d rather start a franchise with KD. Bron is 25 and has at the very least a decade left to his career.

Anyone that thinks Kobe is THAt far ahead of Dwyane just needs to sit somewhere with a bottle of pills and off themselves. Seriously.

Brandon Jennings got one for best pure shooter.

E: to be fair, the rankings can’t capture how close players are. It can only tell you that the vast majority of GMs think Kobe is better than D-Wade but not by how much.

Wade is a mini Lebron with no long range jumper. Kobe just has been in the game so long. It’s like comparing the Dodge Challenger SRT (Wade) to a Ford Mustang Cobra (Kobe). One is newer, quicker, and more powerful while the other is a legend, durable, and still gets the job done no matter what.
