LeBron James Would Handle ‘The Decision’ Differently

According to Mike Wallace, LeBron James said that this morning before Miami‘s game in Newark: “The Ohio native did not specifically say what aspects of  ’The Decision’ he would have changed. ‘If I had to go back on it, I probably would do it a little bit different,’ James said. ‘But I’m happy with the decision I made. There’s always going to be a misunderstanding. I don’t know what I would [have done], but I definitely would have changed it.’ James joked Sunday that it’s not too soon for teams to start recruiting him for the 2015-16 season after his current contract expires… ‘I’ll be 30, I’ll be alright still, too,’ James said before the Heat played the Nets at the Prudential Center. ‘I’m here. I’m a Heat, man. So we’ll see what happens.’”

Let’s see if the Knicks dismantle all teams they have and wait for 2015-2016 this time. Seriously though Bron, can’t you make it sound like you the least bit loyal to a team?

  • IHaveADream

Okay, can we leave him alone now? He admits he made a mistake, time to move on unless you’re a Cavalier fan.

    Wow what a surprise …

He meant he’d have a 2-hour special instead.

  • T-Money

Didnt Mav Carter say so a month ago?

  • Blackphantom

Remember his commercial? “Should I admit I made mistakes?” I guess someone convinced him to do that

  • Jackie Moon

This is good. So he acknowledges he would have handled it differently. He doesn’t owe anything to any us, but it’s still good to know he’s not totally oblivious.

  • ab40

that’s probably a direct quote from out of his mouth. Lebron James would have handled the decision differently. He should go media silent untill the all star break. pay the fines for that and just keep quiet

  • Chris

Tune in next week when Lebron admits “You know y’all…I think I realised the world is not flat”

  • LD

i just want to know if he is gonna be in the dunk contest this year.

  • http://dsjfklf.com Jukai

All-Miami Heat dunk contest… Lebron, Wade, Bosh, and Big Z!!!!

  • Josh

Lebron did not say anything about the decision. He said he would have handled his free agency period better if he could go back. “The Decision” is a guess on what he would have changed, but the words, “I would have changed the decision”, or “I would have handled the decision differently”, did not come out of his mouth.
Maybe he meant he would have reached out to Cleveland or the other teams that he was not going to rather than letting them find out through a show, or maybe he would have taken talks with teams more seriously.
No more jumping to conclusions on what Bronny says.

  • Cool Dude

Who cares about PR speak? This is as contrived as the Nike commercial. Just let his game speak for him. Shut your mouth and dominate on the court.

  • Ganchan

not shure why i gots this name

  • ripslam

    “I’m a Heat”?

  • JTaylor21

  • ezra

wow lebron regrets a descicion that made him the most hated athlete, so what??

  • gregor

    I’m a Heat? Makes sense…

  • http://www.kb24.com The Seed

Who cares sidekick, Wade recruited you to HIS TEAM, because you could not take the HEAT of scoring 30pts a game, we already know, but make your mind up about something and stick to it. You made a PUNK decision and deal with it. Your legacy will show this PUNK move, especially since you left a team that had the best record two straight years and you were the best player on that team. I am glad you made this decision, because it showed YOU HAVE NO KILLER INSTINCT and DON”T WANT TO LEAD A TEAM ON YOUR OWN, Maybe his GURU who speaks Hebrew told him or his friend Warren Buffet, wait Warren would have told him to be a MAN and JUST DO IT!! BOOK IT!!

I think ive heard lbj apologize enough. we get it. your sorry. thing is tho, u didnt apolagize till society called you out on it. we got you in check homeboy. society:1 bron: 0

  • Jacob (from Australia)

You put those expectations on him, so you disappointed yourself. Last I checked, there was no proof LeBron was going to be an all-out scorer and killer when he came into the league. Sure, he killed it in high school but on that team, didn’t he have to? Then the Cavs played him by letting him set up on the wing most times so he could score at will. In high school he was always point guard no matter his height, so in my eyes I think it was always a right fit for him to go to a team with another dominant scorer. Watch, 20 games in when Bron is dropping 10 dimes to a cutting Wade and a ton of shooters (Bosh included). Then we’ll see his true comparison, not Kobe, not his Airness, but Magic. Book it.

I like you LeBron, hell of a ball player, but that 2015-2016 talk, u put your foot in your mouth man. Right now the only thing to do now is to be loyal and try to win son. By saying that, you basically saying if I don’t get it done here, I’m going somewhere else. Stick it out dude. Kobe going to beat u till he retire anyway.

  • TrailBlazing&SportingLisbon

    lol and cosign rob

  • http://www.youtube.com/officerbarbrady what

LeBron James is an idiot. Trying to embarass Cleveland, he embarassed himself. Like Skip Bayless say, you will never be the “KING.” You stay a “PRINCE.” Can’t win it by yourself.

  • http://www.youtube.com/officerbarbrady what

Couldn’t beat the Celtics or the Magic.

  • The Philosopher

@What Ummm, players don’t win by themselves in the NBA, it’s basketball not tennis. If the others can play with all-stars and hall of famers why not Lebron?

@Rob Exactly how do you have Lebron, or anyone else in check homeboy? Care to explain your power and influence?

@Seed Lebron doesn’t have a killer instinct? I beg to differ. Lebron killed a franchise and a whole lot of dreams in Cleveland Ohio. BOOK THAT!

  • http://slammagazine Cameron P

Jordan said it best. When he was playing, u think he would of called up bird and magic and say let’s form a winning team, no way. He wanted to beat those guys. I see bosh going but not bron. You were a general in your own army. Now your just a soldier in the war. Good luck

  • Blackphantom

Co-sign Jacob (Australia). He’s probably the closest to Magic Johnson we’ve seen since Magic used to play

  • KB8toSG8

    Damage control…..

  • http://twitter.com/HarryByrdMan44 LA Huey

Even when he admits he made a mistake, dude gets criticized. Lose-lose situation.
btw, You think Magic or Bird felt slighted at all knowing one of them is being compared to Bosh?

  • D’Bri

“What Should I Do?” Um, start by telling people that you regret doing “The Decision.” Then, as you get closer to playing Cleveland, pull a Randy Moss and tell Cleveland how much you loved playing there…contrived.

  • http://kb24.com jbn74sb

Every time LeBron opens his mouth, he sounds dumber and dumber. Go to college, kids.
