Mike Brown Not Bitter Toward Cavs

While the former NBA Coach of the Year is waiting for a job in the League again, he’s coaching his son’s junior high football team. And he tells Yahoo!‘s Marc Spears there’s no love lost between him and the Cavs: “While Brown hadn’t talked publicly about his firing until this week, he said he isn’t bitter toward the Cavs. ‘I understand the business,’ Brown said. ‘[Cavaliers owner] Dan Gilbert took a chance on me five years ago with little coaching experience and not being a former player. That opportunity doesn’t happen a lot. It was his team. He had to do what he thought was best for the organization. What I would have preferred is for me and [James] to get after it one more year. I thought we were close. At the end of the day, it’s a business and that was a change they were entitled to make.’”

I hope you get another chance Mike.

It’s funny. If they knew Lebron was going to leave, they would of probably kept you. And we would of got to see how good you were with out Lebron and not Byron Scott.

@Jagster – c’mon man, it’s great to see Assistant Coach Byron Scott doing his “if I cross my arms and frown a lot, people will think I’m actually coaching this team” routine again. I enjoyed it against the Raptors the other night. Arms tightly crossed, brow furrowed in a vain attempt to understand what was happening around him. Good times.

I get the feeling Mike would do better with a younger team. He seems great on D, but limited on offense. Then again, was that Brown, or was that Lebron needing to dominate the ball…?

I’m honestly shocked that people like ClydeSays can have that opinion.

He’ll find work… Maybe Al Roaker will need a stunt double..
