Polladaday: Contenders’ Offseasons?

While squads like the Heat and the Bulls took things to the next level, the teams already atop top the standings added role players and re-signed their stars. Who did the best job?

Which previously established team made the best moves this offseason?

It is unsurprising no-one has voted for the Hawks

  • Groves

why are the hawks even on this ballot… bucks, bulls, thunder?

    JO and the DIESEL.

  • BigSam

Mavericks for my money….the Celtics look good as well, but guys like Tyson Chandler and Brendan Haywood will be good pairings against the Lakers bigs, especially now that we don’t know when Bynum will be back. Dallas finishes 2 in the West…..maybe 1….

It has to be the Lakers now we can secure a four peat for sure!!!

Boston made the best off-season moves, hence this is the Year (2010-11) of the Celtics 18th Championship.

Boston brought in the bigger names but LA’s additions make them even deeper at every position. I say LA.

I’m biased, but the Celtics made the best moves because they filled their needs – big men (Shaq, JO) and bench role players (Delonte).

lakers.. became deeper.. and brought in guys to take some of the weight off kobe.. keeping him fresher for after the all star break.. boston second.. i don’t even know what the magic did..

Shaq needs to retire and become a CO like Rick Ross

Lakers. A year after getting a guy who would always defend Kobe, they once again got a guy who used to always defend Kobe. And of course: Steve Blake. Very solid pg.

Ha just imagine Shaq and Ross in a police uniform. It would be Stocky and Husky III.

Rick Ross “the Jake” allot more beleivable than Rick Ross “emcee”.Word is bond.

  • Groves

@ big sam… mine was sarcasm, i hope yours was too… bron is a star. the cavaliers have deteriorated more in one offseason than the city of Cleveland has in a decade… and thats saying something

  • ezra

the hawks actually made the worst moves of the offseason of any team including the t-wolves

Had to go with Boston, if they are all healthy, big if, the frontline rotation of Kg, Perks, JO and Shaq is Massive, they are all skilled and experienced.Boston will have the full 48 minutes of tough inside Defense. Now they just need to get Rondo to hit that open 18 footer.
