Everybody Loves Blake Griffin

The fawning pieces have begun to roll in from the media, and Blake‘s contemporaries in the L are “a-Twitter” with his play (and freakish athleticism). From the LA Times: “@KingJames… Man Blake Griffin is the most explosive player in the league! Crazy bounce.’ KingJames would be LeBron James. Was he regretting taking his talents to South Beach instead of Manhattan Beach? Well, that’s an issue for another day. At halftime, another massive presence weighed in, responding to the TNT crew back in Atlanta. ‘@THE_REAL_SHAQ … blake griffin is n my top power forwards n da league, he is like (shawn) kemp, chuck’ Shaquille O’Neal of the Celtics was giving his Thanksgiving greeting to Charles Barkley and ‘that other guy,’ who would be Kenny Smith. So that’s about 4.5 million Twitter followers between the likes of Shaq and LeBron reading about the exploits of Griffin. Griffin was much more than a dunking highlight film Thursday night at Staples Center in leading the Clippers to their third win of the season. He had his ninth double-double of the season, nearly getting it in the first half with 15 points and nine rebounds … Griffin seemed almost embarrassed when told about the compliments from O’Neal and James. ‘That’s pretty cool,’ he said. ‘I appreciate that. I still have a lot of work to do, but I appreciate they say those things. I still have a lot of work to do before I’m where I want to be.’”

Clippers are getting national attention & Blake Griffin getting props from superstars in the NBA. Believe it LA fans are SO grateful for Blake Griffin giving us our money’s worth finally! Trade Baron Davis! No poison in the locker room. It’s not Dunleavy’s fault for signing him but it’s Baron’s fault for not giving a &$%#. At least there are guys trying their damnest to win. They gave everything they had in defeating the Hornets and their same determination smashed the lowly Kings. That’s progress!!

The Clippers (once again) have some solid young pieces and they are (once again) in prime position to improve and become a force. Here’s hoping they don’t (once again!!) F it up and watch their future stars collect rings, awards and accolades elsewhere! If I was Blake, I would not sign an extension with the Clips when the time came for him to do so.

The Clippers have an Amazing athlete on their roster, his a human highlight real, the most entertaining 4 in the league since The Reignman.

^^I agree if I was Blake I would explore my options when the time comes(hopefully he doesnt use the famous “I’m taking my talents” phrase)

Imagine the Thunder now if they had gotten the first pick in ’09 instead of the third? HOLY SH*T. Westbrook, Durant and Griffin. Still, the Thunder might wanna set aside a couple million dollars, cause Blake might wanna go back home when he’s an unrestricted FA.

  • Sparty’s Law

I bet John Wall doesn’t love him.

  • Clipperfan

Griffin is not leaving the Clippers. Players don’t walk away from the big contract with the home team now, just imagine when the new CBA comes out. LeBron of course was in a different position because his endorsements money is ridiculous. In about two years they’ll be able to ship Baron Davis off as an expiring contract and bring in another big piece to the puzzle.

Clipperfan, the only thing that might compel Griffin to stay in LA is that…it’s LA. As long as that racist penny-pinching sleazebag Sterling owns the Clips, they aren’t going anywhere. Sorry.

  • flipnoyce

I could see him becoming the next Reign Man!!!

@The_Real_Mozgov: I love BGriff!! He’s posterizing everyone who guards him.. oh wait..

  • S-Mills

Im fine with him posterizing the league just please don’t give him the ROY. He’s definitely fun to watch but Wall is still my man.

  • León

The dunk over that knick guy is revolutionary it was like a somekind of volleyball jump with waterpollo shot, just nasty.
