Iguodala Doesn’t Expect To Stay With Sixers

Iguodala’s one of the most talented players in the game, and his time in Philly seems numbered. Que the trade offers. Via FanHouse: “Getting traded now almost sounds inevitable. ‘I would love to stay in Philadelphia, but if I’m playing somewhere else, I definitely understand how that could happen. I know how the business works,” he told FanHouse Friday night before his Sixers lost to the Heat, 99-90. ‘You have to be prepared for anything in this league. And I am. It’s one of the first things you learn when you get here. Guys get traded on draft night.’”

That Sixers team doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere fast, I would love to see Iggy playing for a contender.

East is so weak last few years, it doesnt deserve to be called NBA, and LD is right. Mr Olympia guy, should learn some fundamentals, last I checked he was lost in space.

I’m sorry but Iguoadala is not one of the most talented players in the game, lets get that straight from the start. He is merely a sports center highlight! He is a horrible ball handler, even worse shooter, and an overrated defender. I know this because I’m a lowly Sixers fan and I witness his poor play night in and night out. HE IS WAAAY overpaid and there simply aren’t a lot of teams who want him for the amount of money he makes. He was another bad signing by our front office and we are probably going to be stuck with him.

  • All Day

@ kc: co-sign. I blame the Sixers front office…they gave Iggy a max contract based on potential. He is not an all star player…I don’t know what people were thinking comparing Iggy to Scottie Pippen…there’s absolutely no comparison.

Peace out! We don’t need Mayo, we need a defensive presence from our frontcourt players. I would love someone like Jason Thompson. Let Iguodala team back up with Slammin Sammy D.

Bobcats please. Nazr’s expiring + Stephen Jackson for Iggy and Spencer Hawes works in the trade machine!

Watch him end up in Dallas where the rest of the overhyped, overpaid players end up.

@kc: I completely agree. Iggy is terrible. I keep telling non-Sixers fans who don’t see him play much how overrated he is. Doug Collins continues to let him jack up shots and take the big shots, when he should be letting Jrue and Evan get more opportunities.

trade iggy for a dominant bigman…getting rid of iggy will open up turner and he’ll go buck wild. I agree with BETCATS…stephen jackson will bring the shooting and leadership thats much needed in philly
