John Kuester Disappointed By Pistons Fans

Not quite sure a guy with so much controversy swirling around him should be slamming his own (few) fans, but to each his own I suppose. The Detroit News reports from last night’s Pistons/Lakers game: “They chanted ‘MVP’ when Bryant went to the foul line, quite a contract from some of the Pistons’ memorable seasons. ‘I remember coming here in 2004 and ’05 and this place was electric,’ said Bryant, who shot 11 for 20 in 32 minutes. ‘This is our job and (winning is) what we’re supposed to do.’ Pistons coach John Kuester clearly wasn’t pleased with his team’s showing, or fans’ allegiance to Bryant. ‘To tell you the truth, I was disappointed,’ Kuester said ‘I was here in ’04 when we won the championship. There were some of our fans here, too.’”

    There, that’s fixed.

Probably not half as disappointed as Pistons fans are in their terrible team full of tweeners.

I’ve been mildly suprised by Ben Gordon this year, at least from a statistical standpoint. Everybody else? Meh. That said, I can’t bring myself to watch them play. Ha.

The Piston fans aren’t the ones chanting MVP… the Pistons fans didn’t show up to watch this wretched team.

being a stones fan, this year is just horrible, and the team is just unwatchable

The only reason to go to a Pistons game right now is to watch players like Kobe…What did you expect coach? Still, this is a really frustrating year. The pending sale of the team is clearly affecting thier ability to move players and get a more balanced team. There is just no Alpha dog on that team. Nobody to lead them. Just a bunch of gaurds and tweeners jacking up 3′s all game.

“To tell you the truth, we (the fans) are disappointed. We were here in 04 when we won the championship, there were some good players and a competent coach here too.”

@wayno i totally agree all they do is shoot jumpshots no one ever slashes to the basket (stuckey sometimes does), i also dont understand why we dont run more, we are young and athletic, not having a pure point guard might hurt but still what do we have to lose. Kuester needs to go, or illitch needs to buy the team asap and save the franchise

The reason why he heard MVP chants was the crowd was mostly Laker fans. It had to be at least 65% Laker fans in attendance…Even though I’m a die hard Pistons fan, it was neat watching Kobe drop buckets lol

Just because they’re in the stands, it doesn’t mean they’re your fans. The NBA teams don’t bar people attending games to root for the road team.

who remembers “DETROIT BASKETBALL”….the Pistons fans should be dissapointed in Pistons management
