Kevin Garnett: Charlie Villanueva Is a ‘Nobody’

Up until now KG was claiming there was a misunderstanding and he simply called the Pistons‘ big man a ‘cancer’ to his team and the NBA. Last night, Garnett dismissed the beef — and Villanueva. From the Boston Herald: “’He’s a nobody,’ Garnett said. ‘I’m not paying attention to nobodies any more.’

    really cuz picking on peeler didnt work so well and he got slapped by lamarcus aldridge. i love kgs intensity but i dont see why anyone would be afraid of saying something back to him. charlie could have avoided this twitter thing if he just called anthony peeler and gave him a courtside seat next time they play

    The Pistons fell far really fast. It feels like Chauncey was traded like 6 years ago, but it was just two years ago. In hindsight, maybe they should have tried to trade Rip for AI.

    ^No… not true. In 5 years Kevin Garnett will still be known by basketball fans. People are still talking about Hakeem, Dominique Wilkins and other retired players, can’t see why KG would be any different.

    I’ve said it before, im surprised KG doesn’t get more delay of game warnings, when on the road, after a time-out or quarter, he often walks to center court drying himself with a towel, and then simply drops it at half-court, causing a ball boy to come running.. I like KG, and think hes a great player, but yes, kinda an a$shole..

    CV and KG are getting paid millions of dollars to battle it out on the court. On the other hand we’re just spectators judging from a distance of the game we love, but I bet half of the people who write on SLAM don’t even play ball. But, somehow knows the game like they are a bunch of pros. I’m not calling CV a sissy, but I bet you he’s never been in a fight either. To a simple fact of how he looks like. At the end of the day people would remember what you DID on the court and not what you SAID. IF CV is really as tough as he lead himself to believe then he should do something about it next BOSTON vs DETROIT game(12/29/10).

    You’d think CV would have a thicker skin. He grew up in Queens, played for hated UConn teams and has been on bad NBA teams. I’m guessing he’s heard every kind of isht thrown at him. Complaining on Twitter about another player is weak. Settle it on the court or forget it.

    KG is unbelievable…he wants to be known as one of the best but he acts like he hasnt been around the league for more than a day. I’ve always been a fan of finishing the fight rather than starting it…KG starts the fight, runs away, then talks about it as if he’s bad
