Kevin Love: ‘We’re Way, Way Better Than This’

Following their two spankings in Florida, somehow, Kevin still holds out hope for his sorry team (much in the same way, in fact, that he’ll chase you to the ends of the Earth for a dap.) From the Star Tribune: “The Magic won 128-86, the worst loss in Wolves’ history by one point. Orlando led by 35 points in the second quarter and scored 78 by halftime against an opponent that now is longer, more athletic, shoots better — and was supposed to be more competitive — than last season’s 15-victory team. For those of you who wiped all of that season from your memories, those 78 first-half points allowed is not a franchise record: Phoenix scored 79 in the first half last March. The Wolves flew home late Wednesday night from an 0-3 road trip in which they trailed by 20 points in the first quarter Saturday in Memphis, by 16 at halftime Tuesday in Miami and by 19 in the first quarter Wednesday. ‘I couldn’t have said this with 100 percent honesty last year: We’re way better than this,’ Wolves forward Kevin Love said. ‘We know we are. We’re way, way better than this. It’s heartfelt and upsetting to see where we’re at right now.’ Right now, they’re 1-4, injury-riddled and in the midst of a brutal part of their schedule that stretches into December.”

Rambis will be fired very soon!!! He is a terrible coach.

Old School thinking just doesn’t work in the new NBA pissing of your players when you are losing will start the revolt.

Maybe he should pull out the buddy holly glasses and wear them on the sidelines so that people have something else to comment on besides his coaching skills.

Kahn trading away Al Jefferson for two worthless picks killed the team for this season and maybe the next 3. Glad the Clips still got the Pups first rounder in 2012

They’re really not that bad on paper, but in the West it’s tough. They need to string a few wins together and get back on track, and then they won’t be so disheartened.

Hey Seth if the West is tough then they really need to be afraid. Those losses came at the hands of the East Coast. They are making Rubio look like a genius.

Remember when David Kahn compared Darko to CWebb? I do.

Rudy Gay to the Cavaliers? Kevin Love to the Kings? What in the world is going on?

is there a spam button here? who is this lame dude trying to post his own blog overhere. and yes the wolves are better than what they’ve shown so far but they need beasley and webster. johnson is nice but not great. flynn Brewer is officialy a bust and nowhere near the lock down defender people though he’d be. I’m cool with the bigs even Darko and the point guard play is solid. just don’t give the keys to this car to johny

Martell Webster is a missing link for this team; he provides 5-years of experience for the team and a legitimate starting 2-guard. I agree that Rambis is doing a terrible job with his rotations. The Beasley injury was a blow too, he was looking set for a big game against the Heat. This team is too much of a work-in-progress, with Rambis throwing weird lineups out there and giving Tolliver 4th quarter minutes over Love. Give Beasley more minutes, give Love more minutes and wait for Webster to get healthy. Then we’ll see what they can do.
