Polladaday: MVP?

We know it’s still very early, but we’re now officially one month into the 2010-11 season. Who do you think has been the League’s best, so far?

Who's the NBA's '10-11 MVP thus far?

Pau so far and I think he has a legit shot at MVP..

Lakers will finish with a good record, with Drew comming back “soon” he will swap to PF and get better matchup’s for himself.

Not to mention a small drop in mins will keep him fresh

If Paul and Hornets continue their winning way and get the 2nd seed in the West, he should win the award. I’m a big Kobe fan but I think he should have been MVP back in 2008 for what he did with a team full of role players and unknowns.

  • Dagsby

    Kevin Love!!!

  • CoachWalt_W

Rose for what he is doing for his team, he is clearly the MVP. He is putting up Lebron James like numbers from the PG spot and at 6’3.

  • riggs

    derrick, makin haters looks stupid

  • Omar

I got D12 right now, hes scoring more and still a monster defensively.

  • Ctp

I can’t believe y’all put Rondo on that list and not Deron Williams.

D will is the MVP right now.

  • ShadiestBen

No, Chris Paul is the MVP right now. D Rose isn’t efficient enough, D Will is scoring better but nothing else. CP’s efficiency is the most impressive thing, he is shooting 49 % from the field 47% from 3 and 85% from the line. He’s also carried that team (and a rejuvenated D West) to 12-4, something no other guard in the L could do with that roster.

  • bashmo

CP3 no doubt…the hornets have to continue winning games and he’ll grab the award. 50% from the field, 47 from behind the line with 17 made threes, 16.6 PPG, 10.3 APG, 2.9 SPG…great numbers.

Agaain, the hornets have to continue winning.

    the whole miami roster! ;-)
voted rondo but actually i have to go with CP3, what a great player and maybe goed to Orlando now where he will make Dwight alot better!

  • http://www.laumol.nl/weblog Laumol

    Paul Gasol

  • Groves

Cp3 or Dwight… or LANDRY FIELDS

  • LA Huey

I’m going with CP3. I have a hard time understanding how the Hornets have managed this year.

  • LakersBoy

Pau Gasol, he is carrying the load for the Lakers and he is incredibly efficient, I dont know if he can keep it up but at the moment he is in a class of his own

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

    Deron Williams for my money.

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

@LakersBoy if getting bigmanned by Roy Hibbert means your in a class of your own…I guess so. I like Pau, really do, his skill at the position is unsurpassed, but my one reservation has been a constant….dude is Charmin soft

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

CP3 is the consumate floor general, no doubt, but if anythings to make of their early success this year its the job that Coach Williams has done from the coaches chair, the play of David West, and the breakout year of Emeka Okafor. That team is a very complete squad- they’ve got size, shooting, leadership, defense…..dangerous

  • ASH

    D-Rose,D-Will and CP3

  • Dan Ilika

I’m prepared for the ensuing backlash, but I’m throwing Manu Ginobili into the mix on this one.

  • Tyquez

blake griffin to win dunk contest, rookie game mvp, rookie of the year, mvp of the year, allstar game mvp

  • Max

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

    @Tyquez dont forget Finals MVP

  • HOF

  • http://slamonline.com nate

    Derrick rose hands down

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

    D. Rose!

  • benno

Either d.rose, rondo (hopefully) or cp3 – just not kevin durant – yeah he can score, but i would have kobe on my team anyday.

  • http://bulls.com Harry Twatter

D Rose because of the way he is truely caring his team. The 7 game west coast swing they cam out with a 4-3 record while Derrick averaged 30.5 ppg, 6.5 apg and 5.7 rpg. Could’ve had atleast 10 assists a game had Gibson and Korver not went cold and Deng literally inconsistent. I propose D Rose new nickname be “3-D” Dribble, Drives, Dunks and all his moves look awesome in 3D!!!

  • http://bulls.com Harry Twatter

    meant “Carrying”

  • Shawn Kemp is a Great Great Grandfather !!!

    Derone Williams here ,

  • Hugh Jass

Tony Longoria – and I’m not even a Spurs fan!

  • The Reign Man

    Kevin Durant aka The Durantula

  • spaceghosttrucka

    Danny Granger for MVP!

  • Nick

Dirk or Pau – probably Dirk. Both are the most efficient superstars in the league, but I can’t imagine Dallas without Dirk and more than most could not have imagined the Cavs without LeBron.

  • http://Slamonline.com Caboose

Why is Dwight Howard getting no love? Best team in the east and he’s carrying his squad both offensively and defensively.

  • Caderade

D-Will! Chris Paul puts up pretty fantasy numbers, but his team is starting to slump and just got destroyed again by Williams and the Jazz. How can anyone seriously believe CP3 is a better player when he has a career 3-13 record against D-Will? Williams is a winner.

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/dacre Dacre

Hmm… I guess I can cave and suggest Dwight Howard. Although I never thought I would see such a quick non-event where Wade and LeBron rightfully don’t deserve a mention. makes me smile really….

  • http://twitter.com/ShadiestBen ShadiestBen

Caderade – Because D Wills supporting cast is far superior 1-12 and has been since they came into the league. You swap those 2 and the Jazz would of been in the WC final for the past 3 years, instead of once.

  • http://blog.mysanantonio.com/spursnation/ Anthony

    per position:

    I voted for OTHER: GINOBILI!!!

  • Jahmai

Derrick Rose, he’s putting up the numers, the Bulls are getting wins (without Boozer) and his team would be losing without him. + He’s absolutely SPECTACULAR!

  • Overtime

Right now, gotta be either Rose, Williams or Howard (Or Paul).
If you took those players away from their respective teams, who is gunna be worst?

  • Chris

D-Rose…! Paul close along with D-Will and Howard. Pau n Kobe will not get my vote as they have such a strong TEAM same goes for Rondo.

  • Jumpmanjay23

I love D-Rose and all, but D-Will has to be my MVP. I really didn’t expect the Jazz to be this f’n gritty. Seeing how I may get ripped apart here, but someone on the Spurs should be up there as well for their solid play.
