Derrick Rose Has a Sprained Right Wrist

Big scare for the Bulls last night, but X-Rays came back negative and DRose‘s injury isn’t deemed too serious for the time being. From the Sun-Times: “The biggest concern was the right wrist he hurt on a nasty fall with just under two minutes left, but X-rays were negative, and Rose was diagnosed with a sprained right wrist. ‘I know tomorrow is probably going to be a bad day, especially resting and sleeping,’ he said. ‘It’s going to be tight. Everything is going to be tight on my body, but I’ll get treatment, and we’ve got to play in a couple more days.’ Trainer Fred Tedeschi said it’s too early to know how much (if any) time Rose would miss because of the sprain. ‘We’ll see how he is tomorrow and kind of go from there,’ he said. There are no plans at the moment for Rose to undergo an MRI exam. ‘All the bones are in the right place, so from that point, we know it’s not too severe from the sprain standpoint,’ Tedeschi said. ‘We’ll keep our fingers crossed and hope it stays that way.’ Rose was injured when he drove to the basket and was fouled from behind by Pacers point guard T.J. Ford.”
