Derrick Rose Has a Sprained Right Wrist

Big scare for the Bulls last night, but X-Rays came back negative and DRose‘s injury isn’t deemed too serious for the time being. From the Sun-Times: “The biggest concern was the right wrist he hurt on a nasty fall with just under two minutes left, but X-rays were negative, and Rose was diagnosed with a sprained right wrist. ‘I know tomorrow is probably going to be a bad day, especially resting and sleeping,’ he said. ‘It’s going to be tight. Everything is going to be tight on my body, but I’ll get treatment, and we’ve got to play in a couple more days.’ Trainer Fred Tedeschi said it’s too early to know how much (if any) time Rose would miss because of the sprain. ‘We’ll see how he is tomorrow and kind of go from there,’ he said. There are no plans at the moment for Rose to undergo an MRI exam. ‘All the bones are in the right place, so from that point, we know it’s not too severe from the sprain standpoint,’ Tedeschi said. ‘We’ll keep our fingers crossed and hope it stays that way.’ Rose was injured when he drove to the basket and was fouled from behind by Pacers point guard T.J. Ford.”

Looks like the “Eyebrow”s healing powers will have to be put to work.

This was his second injury of the game. Up about 15 points with about 4 minutes left he got hit and hurt his ankle. As the coach, why would you let him back in? That’s the only thing that I don’t like about Thibs…his substitutions are horrible. You’re not playing the Celtics. You don’t need all 5 starters in the game with a 20 point lead to close out the last few minutes against the Pacers.

    ^agreed..
should have taken him out after the first incident..
not very smart coaching on an otherwise brilliant job by thibs thus far

Co-sign diesel. What was rose doin out there any way? But it wasn’t just rose out there. Booz, korver and deng were on the floor 2. Totally unecessary 4 them 2 b on the court @ that time. Rose’s sprained wrist could have and should have been prevented

I wouldn’t put it all on Thibs. As much as I know you all watch Derrick Rose do you REALLY think it was all Thibs? Bet Rose wanted no part of coming out after the first incident, just like he wanted no part of coming out after the second. That being said, they should rest him tomorrow, they’ll be playing the Raptors at home on the Raptor’s second game in two nights. The other Bulls should beat them without Rose…then again as much as he’s bailed them out this year they might not.

After that horrible second fall, I was holding my breath man, seeing him go up that high and get bumped in mid air and fall over. He said to Boozer, I’m from the south side of chicago, this is how I grew up playing.
I mean, this guy is a beast.
