Fields, Griffin Named Rookies of the Month

Yes… that’s Landry Fields, not John Wall. From the NBA: “The New York Knicks’ Landry Fields and the Los Angels ClippersBlake Griffin today were named the Eastern and Western Conference T-Mobile Rookies of the Month, respectively, for games played from the start of the season (Oct. 26) through November. Fields ranks fourth among rookies in scoring (10.8 ppg), second in rebounding (7.1 rpg), eighth in assists (1.6 apg) and second in field goal percentage (.544). He started all 19 games for the Knicks this season, leads all NBA guards in rebounds and is the only rookie in the top eight in scoring.”

I guess you didn’t have to mention Griffin stats cause you know that we know what his stats were. Absolutely amazing. and Fields, sorry I slept on you dude.

I’m still sleeping on Fields. Definitely impressive rebounding numbers for a guard…though it’s not like STAT is threatening to steal any rebounds from anyone. FG % is nice too. But Let’s face it, Wall woulda easily took it had he not been injured. Or maybe I’m just a hater.

Larry Fields aka Trade bait haha

i’m having the hardest time dropping Richard Jefferson for Fields on my fantasy team…

  • t-sizzle

excuse me, what does this mean “rookie in the top eight in scoring”?

  • Knowsitall

    my question exactly sizzle

Somewhere Enigmatic is still crying, “It was a fluke,” after reading Landry Fields won Eastern Conference Rookie of the Month.

  • ai come back

how does wall NOT take it even if hes injured…….triple double 20 pts top ten assits? top 5 steals??? franchise record for steals………?

Congrats Landry I mean AGUAAAAAAAAAAAA…. TKFs are so proud right now that one of our own finally gets recognized for all their hard work…

Let let the stats speak for themselves… My fellow TKF Gary posted this on our fan page this morning… Fields is the best shooting and rebounding guard in the NBA. Not among rookies, but the entire league. He’s pulling down boards at a clip of 7.2 per game, putting him just ahead of two future Hall of Famers in Dwyane Wade (6.1) and Kobe Bryant (5.8). Not only that, but he leads all guards (and rookies) in shooting, hitting on 54.9 percent of his shots. The next closest is San Antonio’s Tony Parker (52. percent). With John Wall in street clothes, it’s time to give Fields his due!!!

I did not know who Landry Fields was until I read this article.

Griffin should’ve been player of the month. He belongs in the All Star game this year. Some fun facts about Blake: In the last five games he’s averaging 29.6 points, 14.2 rebounds and 4.8 assists, while shooting 59% from the field. He’s also one of three players averaging 20 points and 10 rebounds this season…. him, and two other guys named Pau Gasol and Dwight Howard. Clippers are “hosting” the all star game in LA, so Griffin should be an easy choice to represent the home team

“and is the only rookie in the top eight in scoring.”…..what haha? and yeah whatever that means, commendable, but still. John Wall…John Wall…John Wall…John Wall…John Wa-well you get the point.

  • EJ

John Wall should be rookie of the month, even tho he was injured. He’s averaging 9 assists per game, that’s insane.

  • KB

good for fields. he and wilson chandler are playing great for the knicks which is also great for the nuggets and carmelo cause now they’ll get something for him
