POSTGAME
Once Wade tasted his own blood, he went from Bruce Banner to the Hulk on the hardwood. Most players are taken out of their game when mad, but Wade flourishes when mad. If I was Coach Spo, I’d keep D. Wade “green.” LeBron didn’t go off tonight but he flirted with a triple double with 20 points, 9 assists and 6 rebounds. Chris Bosh continues to play well, finishing with 21 points, but with only 4 boards, his presence inside is nowhere near dominant.
The Rockets’ Aaron Brooks was a huge spark off the bench with 20 points. As he works his way back from an early season injury, look for him to return to last year’s Most Improved Player form. Luis Scola paced Houston with 22 points and Martin added 21. Despite taking the L, the Rockets actually had a chance to win this one. With Yao out, no one expects them to go anywhere, so a showing like tonight has to be good for their mental state.
At 25-9, Miami has the second best record in the Eastern Conference and the fourth best record in the L. They are starting to figure things out and that goes a long way to making people forget how much they “hate” the Heat.
