Gilbert Arenas Trade to Magic Close?

The Gilbert Arenas trade talks between the Wizards and Magic continue to heat up, according to the Washington Post: “Gilbert Arenas already has lost his position as the face of the Washington Wizards, accepted a reduced role and switched jersey numbers, and he soon could be changing addresses altogether. The Wizards are engaged in serious talks to deal Arenas, the former three-time all-star guard, to the Orlando Magic. A person familiar with the Magic’s plans said late Friday night: ‘It’s very close. A really strong possibility.’”

    very welcomed addition for the Magic. I just wonder what the Magic would be willing to conceed…thats a pretty big contract.

    Interested to see who the Magic give up…I guess must be Lewis, but i dunno if thats the best decision, he can do a lot, drawing out defenders from Howard etc. Whereas putting Arenas in a backcourt with Nelson seems slightly strange

    I’m hearing its gonna be a 3 team deal: Magic send Gortat Lewis and Carter (i dont know who gets who) and the Magic get Arenas and Hedo

    Don’t know about this trade yet, the Magic really need to try to get Melo. I know maybe he won’t sign an extension, but if they go far in the playoffs or maybe even the finals, he’ll stay.

    I like that they are cutting salary (lewis and carter 37 mill) for arenas (17 mill). But Nelson and Arenas backcourt isn’t good. Unless they get a point forward like Hedo, i don’t like this

    @ Anton…that would be beautiful. Jameer JRich Hedo Bass Howard, then bring Arenas off the bench, as a jamaal crawford type 6th man where he can do pretty much whatever he wants, with JJ Pietrus Anderson and some Center

    @Anton the Magic would get Back Hedo and aquire Arenas and Jrich for Lewis,Vince,aand Gorat. It’s seems like a good trade,Gorat gets more minutes in PHX and the Magic get rid of Lewis and Vince.
