Tyreke Evans May Miss Games Due to Plantar Fasciitis

Strangely, the only info about Tyreke‘s condition is coming from his brother’s Twitter feed since he hasn’t informed the team if he’ll join them on their upcoming road trip or not. The Sac Bee reports: “The Kings are waiting to hear if Tyreke Evans plans to play during their three-game road trip that begins Tuesday in Houston because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot. One of Evans’ older brothers, Julius, announced Sunday via Twitter that Evans will miss time because of the injury: ‘Just got done having a talk wit my brother @thetyrekeevans. It’s done! He’s out for a while.’ A phone call to Evans was not returned, but a text message from Evans’ brother, Julius, said Evans would not leave Sacramento with the team today. Kings basketball president Geoff Petrie said no decision had been made because the team hadn’t heard from Evans. ‘Whatever needs to be done needs to be done in the best fashion possible,’ Petrie said. ‘We’ll see what (this) morning brings. It really comes down to if the player says he can’t go.’”

I have that right now, plantar fasciitis. I kept playing on it and now it’s been around for two months.

his brother was talking about the pie he was eating. then he got the itis so he’s “out for a while”

    He hasn’t been himself.

I think his weak play so far has more to do with defenses figuring out that dude can’t throw a rock into the atlantic.

JTaylor: that’s too simplistic. Defenses knew that very well last year too, he’s been shooting bricks since high school. And one of the biggest myths in basketball is that you can prevent elite slashers from getting to the hoop by backing off them.

T-Money, I know what you mean but at least last year he used to make the occasional J but from most of his games I’ve seen this year, dude has made at the most 5 combined jumpshots. Last year he made jumpshots every now and then which kept the defense honest and that allowed him to blow past his man but this year he’s making none, so the defense is laying way off him and daring him to toss up another brick. What happend to all the talk about him working on his J in the off-season?
