Andrew Bogut: ‘Am I the Same Player? Close’

We may or may not have gotten up with Andrew Bogut for the next issue of SLAM, so you can catch up on everything AB then. For now, Hoopshype has posted a nice Q+A with Milwaukee’s center. Here’s one highlight from HH’s interview:

How does it feel to be back on the court after what you went through with the injury last year?

Andrew Bogut: It feels good just to be playing basketball again first and foremost. Whenever you have an injury like that the rehab process is excruciating and long and all you can think about is, “Will I be back and will I be the same player?” I am back. Am I the same player? Close. Offensively I am still struggling a little bit with my arm. It’s going to be a situation where it will probably take a couple of years before I am fully comfortable with it again.

The last thing the Bucks need is more shakey offense.

a couple of years before he’s comfy with his arm again?? what??

I’d be pretty sad to hear that if I was a Bucks fan.

Looking back on those years when Bogut was more or less a space-filler, if I was a Bucks fan I’d be happy for that one playoff run.

If I Bucks fan I wouldn’t really be worried about Dr Boguts diagnosis.
