Brandon Bass May Require Knee Surgery

Bass says he might have to go under the knife if his knee doesn’t improve. From the Orlando Sentinel: “I might need to get it scoped, be out a few weeks,’ Bass said. ‘I don’t know. We’ll see.’ Bass said he came down on his left knee in the second quarter of the game against the New York Knicks on Thursday night and ‘heard a pop.’ Bass said his knee has been sore and has been swelling since then. He has missed the last two practices, sitting out Friday and Sunday. Bass, 25. said he has undergone an MRI and could determine after Monday morning’s shootaround whether he might need surgery. Bass has started 10 of the 11 past 11 games. He has essentially inherited the power-forward position since the Magic traded Rashard Lewis to the Washington Wizards.”

Damn, whats with all these knee injuries. Everyone is getting hurt, and it is not a pleasent news to hear about it. They need to do some research, if the shoes are crappy or something but as far as this season goes, most of the injuries were inflicted upon the knees of player. Hope bass and butler are not seriously injured.

I really don’t think it’s the shoes etc. Look at how big and strong guys are getting now! I think the human body can only handle so much twisting and turning and jumping and pounding, especially when a man carries 250+ pounds of muscle.
I read somewhere that according to the BMI Index LeBron James is close to obese. That’s an indication to how big(heavy in muscle) players are nowadays

Does anyone think that the Magic needs more depth in their bigs slots?
