Granger Made Available By The Pacers?

Is it time for Danny Granger to move on? The Pacers‘ front office is contemplating it. From Marc Stein: “One source with knowledge of Indiana’s thinking, however, said this week that the Pacers — 6-11 and fading since their big November wins over the Heat and Lakers — have not dismissed every recent proposal that includes Granger. Another source insisted to ESPN.com that the Pacers, although they naturally would be seeking a lot in return, quietly listened to a few Granger pitches last season, as well. [...] Roy Hibbert, despite his own December fade, has emerged as the more untouchable piece in Indiana’s eyes than Granger, who is shooting just 41.6 percent from the field, is going to the free throw line just 5.1 times per game as he too often settles for jumpers … and has three pricey years left on his contract after this season valued at $40 million.”

overrated, should’ve traded him last year

  • ab40

The first all star in indiana since reggie miller left. yup time to let him go. Well Detroit needs a center (chris kaman), the clippers need a good small forward (danny granger) and indiana needs money and some veteran leadership (tay prince?) let’s make it happen

If I was Nuggets, I would send Melo for Granger. I would give Pacers a couple of 1st round picks, so if Melo doesn’t sign they still get something. LA stand up, send Artest and 3 future 1st round picks for Granger. Granger can play, Pacers just suck from the GM down.

  • kobe blogant

i wouldnt mind seeing granger in a mavs uniform

  • ai come back

grange to bulls granger to bulls………………actually il ike luol rite now i think the heat could get hibbert if they had anybody worth trading

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Hell no I don’t want Granger on the Bulls.
    Dude’s been overrated as hell.

  • http://slamonline.com niQ

Overrated or not, a lot of teams should be interested. My Raps have nothing to lose right now, go for it!

  • http://www.slamonline.com AllBall247

The Chi fans on here never want any one that comes up in discussion. Your fighting for the 4 seed in the East, you could use the help!
    P.S, Its all love Enigmatic.

6-11 and fading??? how old is this story?????

  • Blaspemy

If anything, Granger begs to be on the bulls.A combo of forwards of Granger and Boozer is effective with a healthy Jokiam Noah. Then again, what do I know, I suffer from dementia.

  • http://www.slamonline.com SpaceJam

If Granger went to the Bulls I would jump for joy. Cosign Blaspemy

    Sine winning in November, Tarzan.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

    Wait… That’s kinda odd.

  • 2k Champ

Granger would make the bobcats absolutely unstoppable. That would be the beginning of a dynasty. Next year they would probably do better then 72-10

  • TheTruth

@TheSeed the pacers well never want artest again, and can we all please stop with these ridiculous laker trades! Honestly every time there’s a trade story someone says something stupid like “LA trade theo ratliff and barnes for dwight howard!” or something like what the seed said. Seriously get over yourself.

  • ezra

mavs shud try and get him finally get a solid second option for dirk

  • http://slamonline.com Caboose

Kings should offer Dalembert, Casspi, Greene and two second round picks for Granger and a scrub.

  • http://www.bulls.com Enigmatic

Allball – Deng is better than Granger. Scoring is only one part of the game. We need an upgrade at the 2, we’re pretty set at the 3.
And yeah I’m always the first or second to say “we don’t need him” on here when it comes to players possibly joining the Bulls.
LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were the exceptions, but they both said no.

  • Redirkulous Kidd

Jump on this dallas! Or wait for stephen jackson..

  • Groves

i like the nuggets trade proposed by the seed…. only if we can’t keep melo (because i can’t stand granger). but granger would be a good addition to the raps or clippers, depending on how much he demands the ball, if he’s in LA with the clips he is going to be my third option after Griffin and Gordon, second at a pinch. Maybe the nets should give up on the melo thing and make a play for granger while keeping B.Lopez and Harris.. thats a pretty solid core (if someone can get lopez to rebound, because it seems him and amare swapped Stats in the offseason). The Cavaliers could use him… i say offer whoever it takes outside of mo williams (who i don’t think the pacers would even want). Bucks could make some urgent trade just to shake things up, maybe maggette, redd or someone as a key chip. Kings shouldn’t want him unless they keep evans & cousins (and at least til the end of this season, udrih). Maybe Golden State would want to make a trade for him with monta, that way they have a scorer but they can increase their backcourt size (through the draft?)

  • Zoom

Knicks make it happen! Wouldn’t it be cool for them to somehow get Dalembert at C, Stat at PF, Granger at SF? That would be a pretty decent frontline for them.

  • J.C.

Went from most underrated player to overrated so fast I feel dizzy.

  • Billie

Go to new York that would make Knicks champs this year putting everything that,, no seriously

  • Blaspemy

Granger and Dengs number are identical other then scoring. I would pull the trigger to this imaginary trade that isn’t even remotely even being discussed by both team.

  • D-Block

Cosign J.C. Dude can hoop. How many Indiana games yall watch the past couple of seasons anyway?…Be honest.

  • http://www.myspace.com/freedmusic fredd

again, like I.G of philly … overpriced guys, with a contract that make them think their superstar and number one option of a team ( when it’s would not be the case on contender rosters )

  • http://www.myspace.com/freedmusic fredd

( sorry my “grammary” was awful in the last message, i’m just a poor french uh )

  • tavoris

Granger is far from a scrub. The Pacers have needed him to score sooooo much the past few years that the rest of his game has kinda taken a backseat. However-when focused-he’s a darn good defender, rebounder, and facilitator from the 3.

I agree with enigmatic that Deng is better than Granger-but then again, Deng is better than a lotta small forwards in L not named LJ, KD, Melo, and Pierce. Most GM’s would cream themselves to have dude on their team.

I don’t know what position these teams are into get Granger, but they could definitely benefit from having him:
    * Portland – Moving pieces becomes the hard part, but Grangermouse could be an apt replacement for Brandon Roy, he of the no-knees.
    * Phoenix – Move Hakim, Childress and a draft pick and forget that ever happened…

  • TOTO

Granger and Allen iverson = nba finals

  • killa chuck

he will be a perfect fit n orlando we need a backup center for dwight howard so c’mon on down we ll take u if the pacers dont want u !!!
