Maybe SLAM hasn’t been exactly fair to Rajon Rondo. We named him an ‘honorable mention’ high school All-American in 2004. As he win chips with the Celtics, it was KG, P-Double and Jesus S. who got (most of) the love. It took until his fifth NBA season — he’s nearly 25 — for Rondo to appear in his first SLAM photo shoot. It also happened to be for his first cover… if that counts as any consolation.

    @paul: ur dumb. dude is avg almost 14 apg. if u watch the celtics, he passes up a $hit load of open shots to get others going on offense. sounds pretty team oriented to me

    Rondo is arguably THE BEST, [just a nicer of saying HE IS THE BEST] [point guard in the game right now, the best passer, and rebounding guard. don’t let the number lie. Some kid name Chris said Rondo is NOT consistent… obviously you need to go back and watch golf, cause you DON’T watch basketball. Rondo is the only player that can drop a 20/20 game WITHOUT attempting a jump-shot, or a free throw. Rondo has the power to give you a triple double on ANY given night, so you CANT say that rondo is inconsistent.

    Secondly, Rondo’s job is to set up the big three and feed whoever is hot the rock. if they are all out of rhythm, look at rondo and see of he doesn’t drop 30, and/or make one of his teammates heat up. take a look at both Celtics-Heat game this season.

    PAUL… seriously man, I don’t think you’ve ever watched rondo play!? Averaging over 13 assists p/g highest in the NBA, it doesnt get anymore unselfish than that!
