Polladaday: Roy’s ’10-11?

It’s been reported that Blazers guard Brandon Roy will undergo surgery on his knees at some point this week. He’ll be sidelined for a while, but is still maintaining hope that he can get back this season. Is it worth it?

Should Brandon Roy sit out the entire year?

not only will he sit out the rest of the season, he might miss half of next season as well.

His career is in jeopardy, so no use rushing back. Take the season off and hope for the best next season.

    He should retire.

    B. Roy has heart and I love his game. I hope he does the right thing. Hell, what am I saying…there isn’t going to be an ’11-’12 season. Play all you can, while you can.

I blame the franchise. No way in hell he should have been playing last year in the playoffs. They ruined that man’s career.

    Retire with Oden.

    Just sayin’.

@Omar couldn’t agree more about the indiscretion of the Blazers, but I don’t agree that his career is ruined. Brandon should definitely try to give it another go, but certaintly not this year. Probably just chill out with the family maybe keep Gred Oden a little company, but he’s got more basketball left in him if all permits and he so chooses. His game might have to change, but a guy to look at is Grant Hill. Nothings impossible

@ Black Rick Kamla – I hope so.

Brandon Roy, Take the year off, take two if need be, i’d rather have you leave the court for awhile and come back healthy than grind it out w/ them bad knees and further shorten your career

Ive been a blazer fan for all my life (14 years) and I hate to see roy out but with Roy out Aldridge is really steppin up. so in that matter i think were doin alright without him so let him heal and come back better than ever next season.. aldridge and Batum will keep the W’s coming.
