Bosh: Derrick Rose ‘Playing Like the Best Player in the League’

The Heat and Bulls face off tonight at the United Center. DRose and LeBron are this season’s top MVP candidates, but Chris Bosh ain’t giving it to his teammate: “One day after Miami Heat teammate Juwan Howard said Derrick Rose should win the NBA Most Valuable Player award, forward Chris Bosh also picked the Chicago Bulls guard over the Heat’s LeBron James. ‘LeBron has won the last two,’ Bosh said. ‘He is my teammate. But Derrick has had a phenomenal season. Looking at their record and how improved they are as a team and how much improved he is as a player, I think it’s close. But I think I would give it to Derrick if I were a voter. He’s playing like the best point guard and the best player in the league. He’s the most valuable player. If you take him out of the lineup, there’s no telling what you get.’”

    I love DRose and think if the season ended right now, he should be MVP, but he is not on CP3′s level. CP3 is on a whole ‘nother level.

    I don’t buy it. Juwan and CB either wanna gas up Rose to put a lot of pressure on him, or they just wanna p*ss off LeBron into getting 40, 10 and 10.

    You really think bosh is trying to play mind games with Rose, Enigmatic? If MVP talks were going to affect Rose, he’d already have caved under the pressure.

    I think this is more about D-Wade, actually. He’s not being talked about as an MVP candidate and Miami is trying to keep this 1-1A front. And, although he won’t admit it, I don’t think Bron wants to win it this year. 3 MVPs in a row without a ‘ship would look extra foolish, there’s enough hype around the team as is.

    Rose is having an MVP season, without a doubt.

    cp3 level? d.rose has out played cp3, rondo and d.will and they all were wins for the bulls. rose is too explosive for all three of these guards

    Ryne, I agree, Rose will not cave under such pressure.
    But perhaps Bosh mistakenly thought Rose might be as weak-minded as he is?
    In all sersiousness, I’m not sure what Bosh’s reasoning for that statement is.

    D-Rose has passed CP3 & DW8. D-Rose is the MVP of this season, if you take Rose out of the line-up, how well do you think the Bulls will do? If you take LBJ out of the heats line-up,they still gonna be good regardless cause they got D-Wade & Bosh. The MVP is given to the player that has the bigger affect on his team and is performing above all his peers. D-Rose is the #1 PG in the game as of today & is the MVP of this season, nuff said…
