Celtics Send Kendrick Perkins to Thunder For Jeff Green

Yahoo’s Adrian Wojnarowski was the first to break the news:

Nate Robinson was also sent to OKC as part of the trade.

A trade that really benefits both teams. Boston is counting on having their older bigs ready for the playoffs, and get a great wing. OKC gets tougher inside and will allow their young guys, particularly Harden, more space.

  • bails1

why? Shaq and JO are done. This makes no sense for the Celtics unless it’s for after the big three retire. The best chance they have to win right now is with Perk as demonstrated in game 7.

  • BRAVO

oh wow this is a good trade both ways.

  • HAMMER

Headscratcher. Don’t know what the hell the C’s r thinking. Perkins, a proven tested player 4 Nenad!? Wow! Makes sense 4 the Thunder. I bet their ecstatic. C’s r built 2 win it now, not the future. Even Nate was a better fit 4 the C’s than Green will b. Don’t know how either Nenad or Jeff helps out the C’s

Miami and LA will be thrilled with this deal

  • logues

maybe they sensed that perk is not gonna be able to be at the same level he was last yr? nate rob wont hurt that much cuz rondo plays big minutes. kristic is solid and will fit in good with c’s. jeff green will help out huge cuz hes young and can play big minutes to give kg a rest. he can score, play d, and hes athletic. i love the trade

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

Things got a little bit easier for the Heat and or the Bulls in the East.

  • Toronto

Boston is saving the O’Neals…I wouldn’t be surprised if they both sit the majority of the regular season, just to conserve. Meanwhile, Boston will play Garnett, Davis, Erden, Green, and Krstic, which isn’t great, but it’ll give Boston the time to acclimate Green/Krstic to their philosphies and give Davis more minutes. Green is a big upgrade on Marquis Daniels, and gives them a threat both in the post and on the wing. As for OKC, Green wasn’t going to resign with the Thunder; they wouldn’t have given him the dollars he wanted. Harden’s playing better now, and can eat into the minutes Green left, and even Cook can come in a few more minutes a game and provide quality spot shooting. Perkins gives OKC an experienced, tough defender, won’t take shots away from Westbrook and Durant, and will, with Ibaka, ensure that the lane is always well protected. And while Perkins isn’t an offensive force, he doesn’t do too much; a few putbacks and hook shots are all he takes. I don’t see Nate getting minutes (ahead of Maynor? Maynor is a real PG and complements Westbrook well enough, and Nate will steal shots), but it was a salary move.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

Jeff Green is going to be the answer to a trivia question in a few years: What NBA player derailed the chances of a Boston Celtic title run in 2011? Jeff Green.

  • http://www.stonesthrow.com Michael NZ

    What is Boston thinking here?!

  • http://www.slamonline.com Stepfan

Good look for OKC but now I’m not sure about Boston unless Sheed comes out of retirement.

  • Eric Ruggles

They also got rid of Nate Robinson.

Why, Boston? Why… Who else is going to matchup against Dwight Howard, and Bynum?

  • http://www.slamonline.com Anon e Mouse

I’m stunned! Absolute shocker, I always thought that Boston handled their business in a methodical and stable fashion. Now? Not so much. I’m sitting here with the image of Perks return after injury, the standing ovation, the talking head of him being so appreciative of all the love the fans and the organisation showed him while he got himself back into game shape… Oh well, back to reality. I don’t particularly like the Celtics (well Pierce anyway) so this move is good for my Knicks.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

This also ends Boston’s chances at home-court throughout the Eastern Conf. playoffs. I’m loving this. Two energy guys? Nate and Perk? Perk is your defensive anchor? The guy you claimed cost you the Game 7 win cause he didn’t play in it? Danny Ainge may need special protection detail.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

I think Boston is more worried about Miami then everyone else. Which is why they made this trade

  • http://www.redraidersports.com Nicolas Fleming

@nbk, probably so, but why go away from your strengths?

  • http://www.slamonline.com Wayno

wow…really stupid move for Boston…Perk is one of the best defensive bigs in the game. They’re really gonna rely on 97 year old Shaq, broken down J.O., and Nenad freakin Kristic to contain players like Dwight Howard? OKC got a great deal outta this though.

  • http://nobulljive.com/ Enigmatic

    Co-sign everything Eboy has said.

  • Overtime

Who plays PG off the bench for the C’s now?

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

Maybe they though they would be in big trouble in a 7 game series against teams that are athletic. Really Perkins was useful for LA and Dwight, but they have Shaq, Jermaine, KG, and Glenn Davis, none of them are ideal to chase around a Troy Murphy, Chris Bosh, Lamar Odom, and Perkins was about to be gone after this season anyway, might as well get value while you can, especially if the value your getting is better then what you gave up, even if it takes away from a strength. This is my opinion ofcourse

  • ripslam

Danny Ainge just threw Boston’s championship hopes out the frigging window. They didn’t need anyone as high-profile as Jeff Green to replace Marquis Daniels, ffs. And they gave away Nate too? Highway robbery. Mr. Green better play the 4, so Baby can get minutes at center.

  • Gair

I am a die hard Boston fan and cannot understand this trade for the life of me. The one thing that separated Boston from virtually every other team in the league was their depth, and size. If they meet LA again in the finals how do they combat Gasol, Odom, and Bynum? Perkins – Gone. Semih Erden – Gone. They are relying on the O’neals to be healthy? Ugh! Jermaine has been hurt all season, and Shaq has been in and out of the lineup. Perkins was a tough as they come at the center position. Whoever comes out of the West will be a big team. LA, or OKC, or San Antonio. Danny Ainge, what are you doing?

  • 2dope

D West and Avery Bradley. The front was already thin. I’m assuming that Danny was concerned with Perks injuries or resigning both him and Baby next year. They’re must be something is Danny’s back pocket here in terms in picking up someone off the waiver wire.

  • fizzbucket

    @Overtime: Delonte West.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Wayno

    Rondo’s backup is Rajon Rondo…

  • http://www.reddoorsociety.blogspot.com rainman10

I still think Boston is the team to beat in the East. Jeff Green gives them so much more versatility against players like Bosh, Lebron, Deng, Turkoglu, and Carmelo. And they may see most of those guys in 7 game series. He can spell KG, or Pierce. Come in for the starting center for a smaller lineup, for instance against the Heat when Lebron is at the 4. They still plan on having a healthy O’neal duo come playoff time. And Krstic is another big body who can move like Erden who is playing very well for them.

  • T-Money

Overtime: Delonte West. / I’m puzzled by this move for BOS. Jeff Green will back up the 3 and the 4 but how does he fit in their defensive identity? I’ll tell you one thing, Wade and Bron are not mad at all that they won’t have Perk waiting for them at the rim. In the mean time, they’ve traded Erden and JO/Shaq are injured. So Krstic is their center?

  • fizzbucket

I don’t know why Boston felt the need to trade for a SF. Pierce seems to do fine playing big minutes.

  • JTaylor21

This is a definite head-scratcher. They just traded away the best post defender in the L and their depth at the center position just went down the drain. Shaq is too old to be playing significant mins anymore and JO is a dead man walking. Damn Bos, not a good look.

  • http://www.reddoorsociety.blogspot.com rainman10

Oh and Troy Murphy might end up in Boston. Might.

  • T-Money

Boston also traded Quis to Sacto for cash.

  • http://www.triplejunearthed.com/dacre Dacre

So I’m to believe (with Nate leaving) Avery Bradley and Delonte Wests issues were just media spin…..?

  • dsleepy

wtf is going on…nba when and lost their d*mn minds in a matter of days

  • http://nobulljive.com/ Enigmatic

Damn. Perk, Nate, Erden and Marquis, all gone in done day.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Stepfan

OKC “fans” coming out the woodworks.

  • Dave

Keep in mind Perk just turned down a contract extension for next season; Boston probably wouldn’t have been able to re-sign him. That said, this move makes no sense immediately, especially with a title a definite reality before the deadline. Perk added so much in terms of defense – impossible to replace him, especially with Kristic and Troy Murphy.

  • Roberto

I dont know how true these are but it says they also traded Edran and Harangody to Cleveland for a 2nd round pick. Also traded Daniels to Kings for Money.

    http://www.redsarmy.com/

  • ripslam

Dunno what the f*ck Danny Ainge is doing gutting the roster. Depth was one of the Celtics key strengths, now they’ve given away Harangody, Daniels, and Erden for nothing, and gave away their best center and backup PG for a wing player who has yet to prove himself. Ainge needs to find work elsewhere.

  • http://nobulljive.com/ Enigmatic

Well, at least Jeff Green has an appropriate last name for playing in Boston.

  • ErnieD

AMAZING. They got back the draft pick they used to get Ray Ray.

Perk was my guy over the last few years, but he got hurt, and he’s probably not even close to 100%. He said he was going to explore free agency, and the C’s were not gonna pay him what other teams (like OKC) would offer him. Kristic means they have a Center who can start now, and rotate with Shaq once he’s healthy.

Jeff Green is the guy who helps them right now at the spot where they have a glaring weakness. Subbing for Ray Ray and Paul. I guess Nate isn’t as important as they thought he would be, and other guys can pick up minutes at the point once healthy (Delonte and Marquis).

  • ripslam

Also, a center lineup of Jermaine O’Neal’s ghost, Shaq, and Krstic (who cannot play D whatsoever) is not getting them through 4 rounds of the playoffs.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

Daniels was likely done for the year, only reason Sac traded him was so they didn’t get penalized for being below 75% of the cap. Erden < Krstic so that's an upgrade, and Green is multi-year potential, that can learn a lot of what Garnett does, compared to Perkins 1-year then you lose him, great post defender, no potential for anything else.

  • T-Money

From Wojo: Troy Murphy has not made his mind between Miami, Boston, and Orlando. Orlando could be the easiest fit for him.

  • Alex

For the short term, this move makes absolutely no sense. With Perk, u never have to double team a dwight howard or Andrew Bynum.
Long Term it may make sense. Like Dave said, perkins was up for an extension soon, and he’ll ask for more than what he’s actually worth.
Whatever it is, don’t be fooled. Boston is still top dogs right now in the east. They are still a defensive masterpiece with or without Perkins. If one of the oneal’s is healthy, they can somewhat replace what Perks brought on the defensive end.

  • T-Money

nbk: that’s a nice spin, what about THIS season? how does that help Boston to win it all?

  • JTaylor21

Do people really think that JGreen is some kind of great player? Dude is wildly inconsistent, doesn’t play D and lacks average basketball IQ. There’s a reason why OKC has been shopping his a** from day one.

  • Jer dawg

Perk and Mohammed will shore The middle and give them a big lineup now. But who is The power forward? Perkins will help OKC intimidate inside and plus he’ll most likely get paid by them by default. Celtics are getting younger, but wow. Shaq and Jermaine o’neal arent going to cut it come playoff time. Amazing how Jermaine is younger than Garnett and yet his knees are the first to go. That’s a testament to Garnett’s hard work. Ef Boston and respect to KG being the bad guy.

  • Think Tank

Looks like Boston is clearing some space to pick up a player who gets bought out..I think Delonte is better than Nate Rob, but Big Perk will be missed…I am excited about an angrier and scowling Perk in a Thunder uniform, plus Nazr now… upgrade in angry…them and Nate Rob’s influence on the Thunder team chemistry is something fun to watch

  • Michael

This could turn out to be a good move for BOS, but im not sold on it.

  • allenp

Perkins turned down the extension wanted more money. So they dumped him.
    It is a business.

  • http://zoran_dakovic@hotmail.com RickyRude

Wow. Didn’t see this one coming. Perk was always one of my fav in Celtics uniform for his toughness and leadership. Plus he came up big in some cruical games for them. Don’t know why they traded him.

  • JTaylor21

Perk>>>>>>>Green, I don’t care what anyone says. You can find plenty 14-5 guys around but finding a great post defender/rebounder is hard as hell. KG is too skinny to guard centers, Shaq is too old to play more than 25 mins, Big Baby is too short, Nenad is too soft and JO just walked off the triller video.

  • Alex

This was a move to offset the lakers eventually. Perks, Boston was gonna let him go anyway, once his contract was up. Atleast this way, they get something in return. Green was brought in to help stave off Odom. Only thing is, if Bynum’s healthy, which i think Boston wasn’t counting on, Boston is in trouble. Boston can still handle Miami and chicago, even tho I hate Boston.

  • http://www.slamonline.com The Ambassador

Eboy is popping his champainge bottle!!!
I dont understand why they would trade Perkins was it because he was going to hold hostage Boston like Melo did to Denver? I really dont know why they would make this trade? Jeff Green is undersize PF and Nenad Krstic reminds me of Big Z!!! The big advantage the Celtics had over the Heat and Bulls was the big men and they traded away Perkins. Lebron rejoices in his mansion!!!

  • Roy

    thunderrr upp!
all the other teams should be real scared of OKC right now

  • chicken

Of any player the Celtics should have traded, it should’ve been Jermaine O’Neal. Hell, if they could sell a done-for-the-season Marquis Daniels, why not package O’Neal and Avery Bradley for a decent wing player? Giving away two key players was not the way to go about this.

  • Toronto

A couple of things to chew on: Danny Ainge likely went to his core guys (read: Garnett, Allen, Pierce, even Shaq) and asked them if they’d approve. Another thing: just like last year, Boston is saving itself for the playoffs. Say what you will about Shaq and Jermaine, but I’m sure Boston’s just making sure they’re ready for the playoffs. Another thing: Jeff Green is 6-9, lengthy, strong. He’s definitely not Perkins, but he’s no pipsqueak. He can play the 4. But really, losing Perkins only causes potential troubles against the Lakers, because no one else has such size to worry the Celtics. But, like I said, if Shaq/Jermaine are back, and Boston will make sure they’re rested and healthy, then those are two veteran post guys with finals experience.

  • chicken

I am failing to remember when Jermaine O’Neal was in the Finals.

  • showtime

Yea go ahead & give that playoff home ,court to the heatles they have 1rst in the bag

  • Bruno

I think the thunder is ready for making some noise in the playoffs and I dont get what the celtics did maybe thinking in Miami but don’t know

  • Andy

Stupid move by the Celtics. Currently there is one guy in this league that can guard Bynum or Howard, and that’s Perk! Remember last season Finals? No Perk, C’s shot down. This is a dumb move. They are a old team, and their best chance was this year. And i hear people saying the have the O’Neal’s…who between them have played like 15 games in the last couple of seasons…great move Ainge!

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

@T-Money that remains to be seen, if it has anything to do with this season, I think its because they see Miami as their biggest threat. What happens in the regular season dictates almost nothing after the first round of the playoffs so I doubt their 3 wins mean much to them. And having Shaq & Jermaine as “inferior” as they are to Perkins (which I don’t really buy into) are still above average defenders. Regardless, when has Dwight ever beat the Celtics without Perkins in the playoffs? Only reason they needed Perkins (meaning a team that has beat them without him) is against LA, who’s chances at making the finals seem a lot slimmer then they did a couple months ago. But maybe this trade was purely a business move to keep them relevant passed KG’s career, or even into next year, because if they lost Perkins and got nobody, what would all of you that hate this trade be saying then?

  • http://Www.slamonline.com Royal

The Thunder must have really hated him not passing the ball to Kevin Durant last night

  • http://www.slamonline.com The Ambassador

NOW WHEN I REALLY THINK ABOUT IT IT’S AND NBA Conspiracy!!! David Stern and Eboy want to see a Laker vs Heat Finals Match up!!! Next the Spurs are gpoing to trade Manu Ginobli to the Nets for I dont know what!!!

  • T-Money

The Cetics’ vets were NOT consulted and they are livid right now, if you believe Wojo.

  • http://www.slamonline.com Eboy

How about chemistry? Celts better hope Perk fails the physical.

  • http://google c_cantrell

awesome!! i been hoping perkins would end up with perkins!! now they have all the pieces a team needs to contend!! hell yeah!! whoooo!! doesnt really make much sence on bostons part unless they think green can learn the game tremendously under kgs wing.. green will flourish and eventually form one hell of a one two hit with rondo when the big three fade out.. lil nate on the thunder?? hell yeah he gives us one hell of a boost off the bench.. a boost that maynor is not capable of giving.. perkins and ibaka will instantly

  • Bruno

    I want a Lakers-Heat Finals too … I want a Lakers finals with anyteam I don’t care

  • http://google c_cantrell

^—- form one of the best defensive front court in the league and the thunder are now officially amoung the elite of the nba.. it wont be the same story if they meet the lakers this year in the post season

  • http://www.slamonline.com The Ambassador

Wait even with Perkins in the lineup the Thunder are not are not a elite team!!!!

  • LA Huey

I hope this week doesn’t make the players think twice about “team loyalty”. Because the teams really do have every player’s best interest at heart.

  • http://google c_cantrell

^uhh yes bud i believe that the thunder are an elite team with perkins in the lineup and with nate coming off the bench and with more inside toughness in nazr.. if you say the thunder are not an elite team then you dont fully understand basketball my friend

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

depends on your definition of Elite, if Elite you mean they could get to the CF, possibly the finals but wouldn’t actually win the Chip then yeah they are elite. If you consider elite teams that are real threats for the title (can beat anyone, no matter who they play) then no I wouldn’t call them elite. But they have all the pieces, a starting 5 with an average age of 22/23, with a scorer, 4 very good defensive players, terrifying in a couple years.

  • http://hibachi20.blogspot.com Moose

    Nooo….

  • el_larsen

    danny was high on green

  • http://google c_cantrell

terrifying right now actually bud.. this is the team of the future yes but also they have everything they need to reach the finals just as any other so called contender in the league

  • robb

    good trade.

  • http://slamonline.com nbk

except experience. which you are underrating, massively.

  • BostonBaller

I don’t understand this trade either but I have to trust Ainge on this one. I hate that Hulk is gone although I like Green (I think he is a better fit for the Thunder than for the C’s. He is an upgrade from Daniels and will spell PDouble. I dun’t think The C’s weree as worried about the Heat is you think Eboy (much respect to you) We’ve played them pretty well so far this year. I’ll also miss Nate. I have to marinate on this trade….lol

  • http://Slamonline.com Kap

U guys do kno that boston beat Miami easily twice this yr without Perkins. I just wonder will Rivers use same excuse when LA beats them in the finals again this year.

  • JTaylor21

U guys do kno that boston beat LA easily without Perkins.

  • http://Slamonline.com Kap

That game in LA was close until the last 5-6 mins. Delonte West will be more valuable and effective than Nate Robinson.

  • http://www.michaelcho.com M Cho

Ainge is really rolling the dice here. He’s always gone for risky trades — I hope this one doesn’t backfire, but I’m not holding my breath. The Celtics team I loved so much the last few years now seems lost to history.

  • JTaylor21

Sure if you wanna call losing by 13 at home a close game. Stop it slime!

  • http://Slamonline.com Kap

LA will still kill OKC on inside bc Perks is only 6’10 and struggles getting his shot off. Okc still has no go to player in the paint. Celtics get younger and athletic. Really think people are overreacting and overrating Perk.

  • http://Slamonline.com Kap

U Have no valid point due to fact we beat the Celtics when Perk played this season. Miami can’t beat Boston with or without Perk.

  • http://thetroyblog.com Teddy-the-Bear

Great deal both ways. Jeff Green is too good of a talent to pass up, and he gives the Celtics some much needed youth and athleticism. You can’t help but wonder about the players’ reactions, though. I doubt Durant and Westbrook thought they’d see their buddy traded, and likewise with the Celtics.

  • el_larsen

perk was playing but c’s were pretty shorthanded if you i can remember.only 9 dressed players i think.

  • DeeDre

Hated the trade when i first heard about it but it might be solid. Adding Jeff Green can do nothing but improve the C’s. Young guy versatile, good solid scorer and defender. Definitely will give KG the rest he’ll need for those gruesome playoff games for an older Celtics team. Nice going Boston

  • http://thegrandcompanion@gmail.com GoEast

celtics better get troy murphy or they are screwed

  • allenp

Or ghostface. Ghostface would be better because he defends and murphy doesn’t.

  • MusketeerX

This is a move that the Celts are going to regret. Great news for everyone else. OKC made a great deal.

  • http://www.fiba.com Darksaber

Hmm, just surprised Delonte with his injury is held in higher esteem than KryptoNate in Boston. Nenad is a battle hardened vet compared to Semih, and Jeff Green trumps Quis production. If Shaq would spend time rehabbing his bothersome right leg instead of jetting to LA to tweet about ASW, this could work.
As for Sheed coming back, better do it soon. Gonna need the last 25 games to get back into the nba groove AND break the quarter-season mark for most technical fouls.

  • cp3nola

is it just me or is boston about to resign perkins in the offseason…danny ainge is a snake!!

  • TR324

I think once Boston gets back to 100% healthy everyone who said this was a dumb move is going to feel stupid. Shaq isnt The Diesel anymore, but he can bully any Center. Howard, Gasol, Bynum all look average against Shaq when he brings his A game

  • bombsquad

    Hello Rasheed and skip..
    Is PJ brown still available…?

@c_cantrell really did just call this in an older post…gotta crystal ball somewhere fam? cuz this completely blindsided me

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

I don’t begin to understand why this deal was made from Boston’s front…..its seriously befuddling. I’m racking my brains and I’ve got nothing. Maybe they want to run a deeper backcourt, or want to get more transition buckets…I don’t know man, the C’s have been one of the NBA’s smartest teams for the last few years…maybe they are completely thinking 2 steps ahead of me but this just looks stupid from every angle

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

….I got the Knicks coming out of the East now….I’m taking bets too

  • flipnoyce

I don’t understand this move either as a Celtic die hard! But, I understand they needed a sf badly for quite some time and Green is a definite upgrade for Daniels. The way I’m looking at this is the C’s were the #1 team in the east without Perk and the Oneal’s playing the center spot. They might have had given some toughness inside but they improve on their offensive end! Now picture this as a line up with Rondo taking a breather- pg-Allen,sg- Pierce, sf- Green, pf- KG, c-Krstic or when the Oneal’s are healthy. I’m gonna be optimistic about this. The C’s are still a deadly team and they’ve proven time and time again in the last few year that they don’t go down less than 7 games in the post season!!! Believe that, we still gunnin for that numero uno spot!!!

  • http://dodgers.com Joey E.

Kristic and Green could at least shoot a mid range. Nazr and Perk cant. Teams are going to be able to pressure KD and Russ more without having to honor the mid range game of their bigs. (i guess ibaka can hit a shot from time to time, but i’d rather he shoot than Kevin or Russell)

  • BostonBaller

Another trade for The C’s is coming….

  • BostonBaller

THERE HAS TO BE ANOTHER TRADE COMING..WHO IS GOING TO PROTECT THE PAINT AND INTIMIDATE GUYS WHO DARE TRAVEL DOWN THE LANE? JAMES WILL GROW A BIGGER PAIR AND WADE WILL TRY TO SOAR…BOSH WILL SLEEP BETTER AT NIGHT. LOL. WE’LL BE OK BUT I’M STILL BAFFLED..I HAVE TO TRUST AINGE ON THIS ONE.

  • http://Philosophervision@blogspot.com The Philosopher

Since the last championship that Boston won, they have been looking for a lineup similar to the one when James Posey was there. Jeff Green fits that bill.
I was asked yesterday about Green’s defense. He is not Bruce Bowen. But he can guard multiple positions, as we all know. He will be the focal point of the second unit. He can even start on this unit depending on match ups, but… He was a starter on a team that is among the better teams in The League.
Perkins in all reality, was slow, and he clogged areas of the floor on offense and defense. Frequently putting the ball on the floor while in scoring position. Frequent foul trouble. Durability is an issue as well. Now, Boston can open up the floor more easily.
Kristic will spread the floor. Kristic also has heart. (not saying Perkins doesn’t) He will not get a bunch of technicals. He is healthier than Shaq, Jermaine O’Neal, and Perkins.
In my opinion, The Celtics made the deal of the year.

  • http://slamonline.com Acclaimed

How are they retarded enough to trade the second best post defender, and their biggest spark of the bench for a critically undersized power forward, that will never amount to anything but shooting threes. Doesn’t defend at all. And, KRSTIC?! REALLY BOSTON? Just shellshocked right now. Carzy trade.
    Worst deal of the year.

  • BostonBaller

Once again the Philosopher “philosophies” and make Celtics-nation breathe easier. lol. I’m neither too low or too high on this trade. I really liked Hulk and the toughness he brought to the table. I’m always open to change so we will see what happens.

  • glovechops

Serge is prolly going to play the 4… Perk and Nazr splitting time at the 5… Scott Brooks is going to coach the guys up and the Thunder are now built to compete for a Championship… KEVIN DURANT – 6 rings in the future 7MVPs to come, and the scoring title every year until he turns 32… So to every team in the NBA, when you see the Thunder comin…….. BOW DOWN!

i appreciate your enthusiasm as a thunder fan but lets try to be realistic here bud..
*compete for the chip? hell yeah
6 rings? i guess its possible.. not likely, but possible..
7mvps? dude im the biggest thunder fan on this site but i gotta tell ya that as much as love the thunder and as much as i love kds game, there is no way in hell he is winning 7 mvps.. do you realize that that would be an nba record? not even kareem could pull off 7 (tho he arguably should have)..
win every scoring title til he is 32? this is actually possible, but there will be plenty of players to give him a run for his money in the years to come.. that said, from one okc fan to another, have a great day dude!
