Breaking: Deron Williams Traded to Nets

Former Jazz point guard heads east.

Nobody saw this coming, but it looks like Deron Williams is moving to Jersey.

UPDATE: The Bergen Record reports the move will send Devin Harris, Derrick Favors and two No. 1 picks to Utah for Williams.

omphalos – by ‘so many’ do you mean two?

Comments like El Larsen’s are funny.
Very strange how quickly people forget history.

The Seed…. how is Favours a bust again?

Allenp – some of these guys are so young they weren’t around when history was being written.

Example of how not hard it is to find an All Star Pg: Devin Harris is one.

    Dacre
Do you really think Favors have talent to be great, I see nothing from him in games. If Nets are so willing to give him up, that tells you everything.

El Larsen’s comment must be a joke.
What a disaster it would be if, let’s say, the only teams who had talent and a chance to win a championship in one decade were the Lakers, the Celtics, the Rockets, the 76ers and the Pistons! That would be like, the worst decade of all time!!!

Exactly Jukai, exactly. Oh, I’ve got something coming on that. It’s coming soon. I hope Ryne puts it up tomorrow or today.

    Jukai @ 6.44pm: +1 good sir.

Awww snap. AllenP with a teaser.

el Larsen: President of the Young Conservative NBA fan Association. It’s just him and Spencer Hawes complaining about baggy pants.

My guess: 2020 the team becomes the Las Vegas Jazz. The Miller family isn’t making any money on cars, and definitely won’t make money on the team any more.

Let me one up you; how bout a decade where only 3 teams (Bulls/Rockets/Spurs) won a chip, must have been worse than purgatory. May the Lord have mercy on the poor souls that witnessed such travesty.

Jukai, check your email when you get a chance.

kirk heinrich traded to atlanta for crawford

  • Diesel

courtney lee inactive tonight…. I think the bulls are getting their man

  • http://nobulljive.com/ Enigmatic

How about a decade where only the Celtics and Hawks won?

  • http://nobulljive.com/ Enigmatic

    Courtney Lee’s playing tonight.

  • Diesel

U sure…they just said on the radio he was out…I’m not by a tv to verify

  • http://nobulljive.com/ Enigmatic

From Rotowire – “Contrary to a recent report stating that Lee was inactive for Wednesday’s game, it has been announced that Lee is indeed active and available to play”
But they’re the only ones reporting that so far so they, and I, may be wrong.

Joakim Noah already got 7 boards in like 6 minutes.
So good to have “the player formerly known as ‘fake hustle’” back.

  • http://itsahardwoodlife.blogspot.com omphalos

Haha yeah, but still, two franchise players in the space of a few days? Are you kidding me? Gerald Wallace is being traded too, which I thought was odd, figured they’d get rid of Jackson first.

  • http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/load-o-bull/2011 Diesel

    Yeah he’s playing. Never mind.

  • http://nobulljive.com/ Enigmatic

Can you just confirm, Diesel, that blue and bold font Diesel and non-blue-and-bold font Diesel are one and the same?
I get confused everytime. I figured it was just two people with the same username.
But I guess one might be when you type on your mobile device or whatever.

I’d love to watch the return of Joakim, Enigmatic… but I believe most have their eyes on the Knicks right now.

  • Allenp

Hinrich to atlanta puts them close to fourth. If they get a center it will be serious.

  • http://www.chicagonow.com/blogs/load-o-bull/2011 Diesel

Yeah they’re both me Enigmatic. The grey is when I’m on my phone. I’m too lazy to type in the web address. I heard the tail end of some anoucments on the radio when i got in my car and it turns out they were all wrong. So I’m dropping all the trade tracking and just enjoying the games teh rest of the night

  • greg

@jukai noah killed us on the glass if u missed it. so hes definitely back, his foot speed is a little off still though

  • el_larsen

    well jukai allenP
thanks for thinking i m a young fool discovering the nba and ignoring the past and the 80′s!!
what i wanted to say is that now we won’t have a playoffs battle between bron and wade, like bird vs do…cos now dominique would want to be traded to play with larry!
i mean even if a decade is dominated by 3 teams we are nba fans ,we don’t only watch tne finals!
guess i sound a bit like charles on lebron decision

  • slack

wow “KAP” really? “Well only five players in this league are untouchable:Kobe, Bron, Rose, Durant, and Howard. Anyone else could be had at the right price and this reassures that assumption.” Cause everyone thought…BRON….was untouchable from Cleveland, he’d leave Miami for CHicago if he had the chance.
