Kendrick Perkins to Miss 2-3 Weeks

Via Newsok.com: “The debut of the big man who is supposed to provide a stabilizing presence in the paint for the Oklahoma City Thunder has been put on hold. Kendrick Perkins will miss two to three weeks with a sprained left knee, Thunder coach Scott Brooks said Saturday… The timetable puts Perkins on the shelf through at least March 12, meaning the earliest he is likely to join the lineup is March 13 at Cleveland. But the Thunder is purposely proceeding with caution with Perkins, who missed this season’s first 43 games while recovering from a right knee injury he sustained in Game 6 of last year’s NBA Finals. A more likely target date is March 18, when the Thunder begins a six-game home stand against Charlotte.”
