Mo Williams Sees Similarities in LeBron, Blake

Mo can’t be happier to be in Los Angeles and/or out of Cleveland. From Marc Spears:  “’Me playing with Bron, we built a great relationship on and off the floor,’ said Williams, who was traded to L.A. on Wednesday night in a deal for Baron Davis. ‘As great as he is, he respected my leadership on the floor. That’s why we worked so well and jelled so well together. ‘It’s going to be the same with Blake. Just watching him from afar and talking to people that know him personally, I think he and ’Bron are similar in a lot of ways. They continue to work and want to get better.’”

“He respected my leadership on the floor.”- Leadership?? What Leadership??

They both were drafted to bad teams, both are very athletic and can dunk and come up short in big events. One does slam dunk contest, one is scare, both helped their drafted team sales, one can’t leave, one did and they both can will have had the Great Mo as their starting point guard. Alot of similarities indeed.

lebron did not respect your, uh, umm… what did you call it?? oh yeah, uh, leadership?? yeah thats right, your leadership, haha!! yeah you had no leadership when lbj was in town bud

  • Clydesays

Keep talking Mo. You complained yourself onto the All Star team one year. I guess if you keep saying it, it must be true…

  • MikeC.

Mo did lead the Cavs in the playoffs. They all choked and Mo was the biggest choker. That won’t be an issue with the Clips because they’re not making the playoffs. This year anyway. At least they’re giving Bledsoe a chance to develop at the 1.

“He respected my leadership on the floor.” Probably the funniest quote I’ve heard from an NBA player. Point guard who wasn’t clutch, didn’t initiate plays and barely had the ball thinks he was the floor leader. That’s too much.

He lead the Cavs in choking if that counts, other than that, it was Bron’s team up and down

  • irondan21

Mo what’s the deal? I thought players waited till the off-season to get high.

  • 2KInsider

Too bad Mo won’t get the chance to lead Cleveland to the championship before Miami.

  • Loaf

    Co sign Eddie

Blake will leave the clippers and Mo if he’s still there, similar to lebron!

    que the breakdown

  • Sergio

Why is he still talking about Lebron? Let it go Mo cmon

  • dako24

Wait Seed, did you just say Blake comes up short in big events? Alright man you’re just the worst commenter on this. You always say some of the most stupid things ever. I’ll laugh when Griffin is racking up the titles.

  • http://NBA.com/bulls The Babe

@Seed come up short in big events? Are u for real? Lebron (as much of a douche he is) played his butt off and dragged the deadweight cavs to a final appearance and conference finals and how can you comment on Blake? Had he even had something to come up short in?

  • http://jooo Max

Nah, Lebron makes him team be better than 500.

  • http://www.mauricegarland.com Maurice Garland

Lebron must be Mo Williams favorite word…smh.

  • dannyb

Mo Williams is like a pathetic ex-girlfriend you dated for a month and she’s still talking about it like it was the most meaningful time of her life.

  • allenp

Apparently mo williams subscribes to the belief that the best way to get over old d(ick is to hop on a new d(ick…

  • http://slamonline d-rose blows kobe

first of all i agree but all you haters need to calm down and you the kid who said to bad he cant help lead them to the championship b4 heat ya you seen the cavs record of late. i love b griff but lbj is better

  • tavoris

allenp-u bear me to it dude

  • thalilbigkahuna

    Wait, who is Mo Williams?

  • Yesse

Here it starts again. Mo Williams is happy again.

  • coggie13

if u take away blake griffin and add lebron this clipper team would have a 50 win season.

  • hoodsnake

So there’s 2 Clippers in the ASG next season?! If there is a season of course

  • trotsky182

So mo blanks LBJ and didnt acknowledge him when they meet after he moved from cleveland but can compare him to his new team mate?

Mo’s mumbers speak it all. he is a no one after the king left.

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

I’m just glad that man is out of Shawshank..I mean Cleveland

  • http://itsahardwoodlife.blogspot.com omphalos

rofl, mo talking about his leadership. Lebron didn’t respect anybody in Cleveland, including the coach.

  • Zabba

If u take away blake griffin and add lebron from the rookie season this clipper team would be below .500
Remember, Lebron couldn’t get his team to the playoffs his first two seasons, and that was in the weak East.

  • Carlos PR

What are we doing talking about le-who? Dwyane Wade is the best and thats it.

  • MikeC.

    Punctuation. Please.

  • Ken

@Zabba….ummm then he lead em to the finals and a 66 win season…do you think they just give away MVP trophies orrr…..?

  • http://slamonline.com Michael

The Seed is a dumb cu*t. That is all

  • http://slamonline.com Michael

The Lebron haters are seriously lost souls. Get over it, he left, he doesnt play on your team. So what if he’s arrogant. He is in the top 2 players in the league-FACT. Ya’ll too ignorant to see it. Then you will be the first to blab when he misses a late shot (kobes missed heaps of last second shots, made quite a few, too) or has a bad night. LOST SOULS ########

I like how you took 8 minutes to sit there….really dwell on what The Seed said about your girlfriend Lebrick, and then came with something else – you know; to really tell them how it is. Punk.

    Leave (Britney) Mo, Alone!

  • Zabba

@Ken…hey, if you put a post-2007 Lebron on today’s Clippers I’m sure he’s got a shot at taking him to the Finals. My comment was in response to coggie13′s comment.

  • Zabba

    and oh, HoMo Williams.
