Polladaday: Best Handles?

There are a bunch of elements that make up a quality point guard, including, of course, dribbling skills. Which player do you think has the best ball control?

Which point guard has the best handles?

Its travesty that Jamal Crawford is not on here cause that man handles like a street baller. The ball is part of his hand

  • greg

cp first and then drose. i have never seen a guard have cp3s level of control

  • Jer dawg

Paul is nice and Nash is incredible, too. You wouldn’t expect a Canadian be great at dribbling a ball. Hockey sticks are their thing, isn’t it? Lol

  • Stepfan

    8% for Deron Williams….wow

Derrick Rose? Really? I mean, yes, he can handle the ball but he’s nowhere near Paul or Nashty.

  • http://slamonline.com The Black Rick Kamla

    chris paul, then derron williams

And if Jason Williams is included in “Other” that’s where my vote would go.

Hands down, it’s Ricky Rubio. :D

C..P..3!! Not a question but Steve Nash and DWill are mad close. I wouldn’t really say Rose he’s more explosive than anything.

  • robb

CP3′s handles the ball like nobody else. Derrick is sick too, I mean, to be able to control the ball so well at that speed is just amazing

How can it not be Derrick Rose, seriously? This guy is so nasty, so fast with the ball, it’s disgusting.

    It’s between CP and Rose.

  • johnny c

Jason Kidd aint on this list?

Jamal crawford got the sickests handles, and deron always cross dudes with that hesitation setup but Rose has by far if you ask me the quickest crossover.

true story, my boy steve nash used to dribble a tennis ball around with his left hand every where he went in high school just to work on his dribbling. He figured if he could control a tennis ball easily he could damn sure control a basketball. but CP is sick with his handles gotta give it to him. Although nobody passes better off the bounce than Nash.

    Nash, hands down.

Allen Iverson, the poll didn’t specifically say NBA pg’s.

I’d say it’s a close one between Deron and Rose. CP3 is up there but ever since his injury last year he just seems …well. not the same.

  • andynorstrom

seriously? deron snaps shins on a daily basis

derrick Rose’s ball handling skills are par. He just moves fast. He doesnt have a total control of the ball while he dribbles. He plays effectively reckless.

Deron Williams has the best handles of PG’s
    Then Nash/Cp3.

    Where is Steph Curry?

    J. Crawford?

Derrick Rose? Haha not yet, he got people trippin

  • Omar

Wow, y’all REALLY love Derrick Rose, LOL

    CP3 > DWill >Nash> Rose

  • Bimmer

    Rafer Alston

  • http://Slamonline.com nbk

@tonyknorr he also used to dribble a tennis ball while riding his bike, or so I’ve heard and read

It depends on your definition of handles. Rose handles the ball at incredible speeds, but does that constitute as handles or can he just keep control of the ball with a lot of speed?

  • Kadavour

I’d say Handles constitutes: speed with dribble, facility of dribble with both hands going any direction, change of direction ability, change of speed ability, and general creativity. That said, Deron Williams, John Wall, and CP3 are tops. Jamal Crawford and Steve Nash next. DRose just isnt as ambidextrous as the aforementioned. John Wall’s handles are SERIOUS tho, don’t sleep. 14 year old Rafer has them all beat imho though. That man is a wizard with a ball.
